Seahawks WR Sidney Rice back from Switzerland
“It was a quick turnaround. Like 10,000 miles, and it only took 20 minutes for the procedure. Got straight off the plane yesterday after a 10-hour flight and came in and none other than my wide receiver coach, Kippy Brown, couldn’t wait to throw me in there. It was good being back out there,” Rice said, per Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times.
For only the second time in his six-year career, Rice played a full 16-game season in 2012 and he finished the year with 50 receptions for 748 yards and seven touchdowns.
Hopefully the procedure will help Rice get/stay healthy for another full season, but it'd be safer to draft Golden Tate over Rice and Tate has just as much upside. Entering a contract year, Tate had 45 receptions for 688 yards and seven touchdowns last season.
Based on average draft position (ADP) data from Fantasy Football Calculator, Rice and Tate are currently the 46th and 48th wide receiver, respectively, selected in their mock drafts.
