Colts RB Vick Ballard out for the season with torn ACL

The Colts have lost running back Vick Ballard for the season due to a torn ACL, per ESPN's Mike Wells and Adam Schefter.

Leading the team in rushing as a rookie last year, Ballard also led the team in rushing in Week 1 with 63 yards on 13 carries.

That said, it was expected that Ahmad Bradshaw, who had foot surgeries in January and missed all of the preseason, would eventually assume the largest share of the workload. Now there's no choice for Bradshaw, who had seven carries for 26 yards, to assume a (much) larger role.

Meanwhile, Donald Brown, the team's first-round pick in 2009, is worth a look in deeper leagues.

Bradshaw does not have a great matchup against the Dolphins, but I have him as my 28th-ranked running back for Week 2.
