Reggie Bush's MRI shows no structural damage, Schwartz calls it "medium term"

Lions running back Reggie Bush left yesterday's game with knee injury and was scheduled for an MRI today.

Per Lions coach Jim Schwartz, the results of the MRI showed no long-term damage.

"I didn't necessarily classify it as short-term," Schwartz said, per Carlos Monarrez of USA Today. "It's just not long-term. So, by default, I guess that's short-term? I guess it could be medium-term?

"It's too hard to speculate on injuries, and that's why I usually don't, because I don't like putting any tag on things, because you never know how people are going to react to anything."

If Bush doesn't go, then Joique Bell would be in line for the start and a heavy doze of touches and Mikel Leshoure would be active for the first time this season.

Regardless of which RB gets the start, he has the potential for a monster game against the Redskins, who have allowed 100-yard rushers in back-to-back weeks and are giving up an NFL-worst 201 rushing yards per game.
