The Daily Blitz (9-2): NFL and Fantasy Football News and Notes

Although the Raiders haven't officially named its starting quarterback for their Week 1 matchup against the Colts, Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle tweets that Terrelle Pryor will get the start.

Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan has confirmed that Robert Griffin III will get the start against the Eagles on Monday night. While it's no surprise, it's funny that Shanahan said “I don’t know why it’s a surprise.” Um, it's not.

Bills rookie quarterback E.J. Manuel was on the practice field for a second straight day of practice and the team will make a decision on Wednesday about his status for Sunday.

Cardinals running back Rashard Mendenhall did not practice on Monday, but coach Bruce Arians said that "he’s more than ready" to play on Sunday.

Considering he's much more talented than Daniel Thomas, it's not a surprise that Lamar Miller is listed atop the team's depth chart for Sunday's Week 1 opener against the Browns.

Per Dale Lolley of the Observer-Reporter, Steelers rookie running back Le'Veon Bell is hoping for a Week 2 return.

According to Conrad Brunner of 1070 The Fan, Colts coach Chuck Pagano said that Ahmad Bradshaw will play on Sunday and looked good in practice but is "not sure how heavy a load yet."

Giants receiver Victor Cruz returned to practice on Monday and should be ready to go for Sunday Night's matchup against the Cowboys. Eli Manning said that Cruz "looked sharp (today). He had his full speed.”

Titans second-year receiver Kendall Wright is expected to play in Week 1.

Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski participated some in 11-on-11 drills on Monday, which is another positive sign. In fact, it's possible that he returns in Week 2.

Colts second-year tight ends Coby Fleener and Dwayne Allen returned to practice on Monday.
