Alshon Jeffery sets career highs with 10 catches for 218 yards
One week after his first-ever 100-yard game, Bears second-year receiver Alshon Jeffery followed up his breakout performance with his first-ever 200-yard game this week.
Jeffery finished the game with 10 receptions for 218 yards, both of which are career highs, and a score as he was targeted a game-high 13 times. In fact, he finished with more receiving yards today than he had in his first four games this season.
His 218 yards set the franchise's single-game record, which was previously held by Harlan Hill (214 yards, 1954).
Through five games, Jeffery has a total of 28 receptions for 429 yards and two touchdowns. In addition, he has three rush attempts for 57 yards.
Jeffery and the Bears have two fantasy-friendly matchups in the next two weeks as they face the Giants this Thursday and then the Redskins in Week 7 before their bye.
Going into this week, the Redskins and Giants have allowed the sixth- and eighth-most fantasy points to wide receivers, respectively.
