No surgery for Giants RB David Wilson

Giants running back David Wilson sustained a neck injury in Week 5 that forced him to leave that game early and miss the following week's game.

Over the past several days, there were some concerns that Wilson's season (or worse) was in jeopardy as he experienced some "tingling" in the neck and it was revealed that doctors thought he may have spinal stenosis.

Wilson got some good news recently, however, as Dr. Robert Watkins did not recommend surgery, per USA Today's Mike Garafolo.

On the season, Wilson has 44 carries for 146 yards and one touchdown and two receptions for eight yards.

With Wilson and Da'Rel Scott sidelined, the Giants will work out free-agent running back Peyton Hillis on Tuesday, per CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora.

If Brandon Jacobs is available on your league's waiver wire, he has another shot to have a big week against the Vikings, who have allowed the most fantasy points to opposing running backs this season.
