Week 7 NFL Picks Against the Spread (Beazley)
Here are my Week 7 NFL picks against the spread:
Jacksonville Jaguars +8 (over San Diego Chargers)
I love the Jags this week at home especially since San Diego is on a short week after a very good Monday Night win against Indianapolis. This is the classic let-down scenario for the Chargers plus West Coast teams traveling to the East Coast generally struggle.
The Jaguars are not as bad as the 2008 Lions, in my opinion, and this game is definitely a game they could win. The return of Justin Blackmon has worked wonders for this Jaguars offense, plus it doesn't hurt that Blaine Gabbert is nowhere near the starting lineup.
I honestly think all the winless teams could win this week: Jags 23, Chargers 17.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers +7 (over Atlanta Falcons)
The Falcons are in deep trouble. The loss of Julio Jones is absolutely huge. Teammate Roddy White has been battling injuries all season, and he will finally miss his first game of his career this week ending his streak at 133. In addition, Steven Jackson has been ruled out. This leaves Tony Gonzalez and a mix-match group of weapons for Matt Ryan to work with on Sunday.
Tampa Bay is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 matchups in Atlanta, and I think they can pull the outright victory on Sunday.
One thing that hasn't been discussed is just how bad Atlanta's defense has been thus far this season. They give up 26.8 points per game, and they have only managed a measly 11 sacks this year. The easiest way to beat a rookie QB is to apply pressure, and I think the lack of it is the difference in this one. Mike Glennon has the best game of his career in a Bucs 27-24 win.
New York Giants -3.5 (over Minnesota Vikings)
The Giants defense has looked absolutely atrocious this season. If you think the Falcons have a hard time getting to the QB, the Giants defense has only managed five sacks this season. This was a defensive line that in the past was getting five sacks per game, it seemed. Luckily the Giants get to face a team this week with major QB issues.
The Giants have an NFL worst -23 differential in turnovers, which is one of the main reasons they are 0-6. This week Eli Manning gets healthy against an equally bad Vikings defense. I am licking my chops in this one not only for picking the game ATS, but for filling out my daily fantasy league rosters (daily fantasy sports analysis). I'm going big on both Eli Manning, and I'm paying for Victor Cruz this week as I think he sees the endzone at least twice. I like the Giants big, 41-22.
Five of our contributors make three weekly picks ATS every week and they will be posted here.
