Week 9 Fantasy Football Rankings: Top 60 Wide Receivers

Several elite fantasy wide receivers are on bye this week including three of the top five scorers at the position: Detroit's Calvin Johnson and Denver's Wes Welker and Demaryius Thomas.

Through eight games, Welker has a league-leading nine touchdowns, which also ties his career high. The guy that ranks second in that category is Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant with eight scores.

Two of those touchdowns came last week against the Lions and one of the receptions was one of the best catches we've seen all season.

Bryant is on pace for a stat line of 90 receptions, 1,282 yards and 16 touchdowns this season.

It's not much of a surprise that Bryant is having another dominant season. While teammate and rookie Terrance Williams is not having a dominant season, he has certainly been much more productive than anyone could have expected.

Williams has set a franchise rookie record with four consecutive games with a touchdown.

Since Week 4, Williams has a total of 21 receptions for 384 yards and four touchdowns. Only nine players have more receiving yards than Williams during that span.

This week, Bryant and Williams face the Vikings, who have allowed the eighth-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers this season.

Only Megatron has more yards since Week 3

Browns receiver Josh Gordon began the year serving a two-game suspension for violating the league's substance-abuse policy.

And as we have seen with Justin Blackmon, who was suspended for the rest of the year, Gordon certainly has his own set of risks for fantasy owners. Provided he stays clean, however, Gordon should continue to deliver huge returns for his fantasy owners regardless of who is under center.

Since he returned from his suspension in Week 3, only Megatron (668) has more receiving yards than Gordon (582). Gordon is on pace for 75 receptions, 1,358 yards and seven touchdowns.

With the exception of Week 5, Gordon has at least 71 yards in five of six games.

Antonio Brown on pace for franchise-record 128 receptions

Here's the good news: Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown is on pace for 128 receptions this season.

Not only would 128 catches be a career high for Brown, but that would break the Steelers' franchise record (112) set by Hines Ward in 2002.

In fact, if Brown finishes with at least 100 receptions, he will become only the second player in franchise history to record triple-digit receptions in a single season.

Ok, now here's the bad news: Brown has double-digit fantasy points in only one game this season. Technically, he had 31 points in that game as he finished with 196 yards and two touchdowns.
