Alshon Jeffery breaks (his own) franchise record with 249 yards and 2 TDs

On a day that Josh Gordon broke his own franchise's single-game receiving record, he wasn't the only receiver to do so.

Bears second-year receiver Alshon Jeffery broke the franchise's single-game receiving record today as he finished with 12 receptions for 249 yards and two touchdowns.

Earlier in the season (Week 5 vs. Saints), Jeffery set the franchise's single-game receiving record with a 218-yard performance.

Over his past nine games, Jeffery has a total of 57 receptions for 1,005 yards and five touchdowns. In addition, he has 12 carries for 85 yards during that stretch.

During that nine-game span, he has five 100-yard games, which of course include two 200-yard games.

While Gordon became the first player to ever have 200 receiving yards in back-to-back games, Jeffery is one of only six other receivers (not counting Gordon) to have multiple 200-yard games in the same season.

Next week, Jeffery and the Bears will face the Cowboys, who rank 31st in the NFL in passing defense going into today's games.
