Eli Manning throws career-worst five INTs in home shutout loss
Giants quarterback Eli Manning did something on Sunday that he had never done in his professional career and it wasn't good.
With four four-interceptions previously in his career, Manning set a new career high with five interceptions as the Giants were shut out at home by the Seahawks.
Manning now has 25 interceptions, which ties his previous career high, and only 16 touchdowns.
As bad as he has been, Manning isn't even close to the record for most interceptions. Back in 1962, Hall-of-Famer George Blanda was intercepted 42 times on his 418 pass attempts. More than 10 percent of Blanda's passes were intercepted that season!
And technically he's not the Manning with the most interceptions in a season as Peyton Manning threw 28 of them in 1998.
With the loss today, the Giants will have their first losing season with Manning at the helm since he was a rookie (2004).
