LeGarrette Blount rushes for 166 yards, 4 TDs
It's been a phenomenal three-game stretch for Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount.
On Saturday night, Blount rushed for 166 yards and four touchdowns in his first-ever playoff performance. The only player ever with more than four rushing touchdowns in a postseason game was Ricky Watters (five).
An interception thrown by Andrew Luck and return by Alfonzo Dennard gave Blount a two-yard touchdown run on the team's first offensive play of the game. Although all three of Blount's first-half touchdowns were two yards each, he took one 73 yards for a score in the fourth quarter when the team had a seven-point lead.
In addition to Blount, Stevan Ridley rushed for two touchdowns as well as he gained for 52 yards on 14 his carries.
Over his past three games, Blount has a total of 64 carries for 431 yards and eight touchdowns.
If the Broncos win on Sunday afternoon, the Patriots will head to Mile High for another matchup of Tom Brady versus Peyton Manning; otherwise, they will host Philip Rivers and the Chargers in the AFC Championship Game.
