Saints rule out Pierre Thomas for Saturday

Heading to Philadelphia to face one of the hottest teams in the league, the Saints will get a tough test on Saturday as they try to turn around their road woes.

For the Saints to win on the road, they will have to do so without their best all-around running back in Pierre Thomas.

After not practicing all week, Thomas (chest) has been officially ruled out.

With Thomas out, that means more Darren Sproles in the passing game and Mark Ingram and Khiry Robinson on early downs.

That said, the Eagles have been tough against the run recently as they have allowed 217 rushing yards to running backs on 86 carries, which averages out to 2.52 yards per carry, over their past four games.
