Michael Bennett re-signs with Seahawks: 4 years, $34 million

Earlier this morning, ESPN's Adam Schefter tweeted that the Seahawks were the frontrunners to (re-)sign defensive end Michael Bennett and that it could happen today.

It has.

Bennett himself has tweeted that he's back with the team and that the 12th man was/is the "biggest reason."

Per Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, it is a four-year deal. Schefter said on ESPN's NFL Insiders that the overall deal is worth $34 million.

In his first season with the Seahawks last year, Bennett had 8.5 sacks, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. And, of course, the most important stat was one Super Bowl ring.

[Update: NFL Network's Ian Rapoport tweeted that Bennett's deal is worth $28.5 million with $16 million guaranteed.]
