Peyton Manning (neck) cleared to play in 2014

Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning broke the single-season records last year for both passing yards and touchdowns previously held by Drew Brees and Tom Brady, respectively.

In the most prolific passing season ever, Manning threw for 5,477 yards, 55 touchdowns and only 10 touchdowns.

Back in 2011, Manning missed the entire season after having four neck surgeries. Considering the uncertainty surrounding his future at that point in time, it makes what he has done over the past two seasons that much more remarkable.

Built into his contract with the Broncos, Manning is required to get his neck checked out each year. Per Mike Klis of the Denver Post, the physical went well today and he was cleared for the 2014 season.

While Manning will likely lose Eric Decker and Knowshon Moreno in free agency, which officially opens one week from tomorrow, Manning is the no-brainer choice as my top fantasy quarterback for 2014.
