Shonn Greene had knee surgery, will miss rest of team's OTAs
Further clearing the way for Sankey to get a significant opportunity as a rookie, Greene recently had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee and will miss the rest of the team's OTAs, per Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean. Wyatt notes that Greene is expected to be ready for the start of training camp in July.
Greene had surgery on the same knee last season after injuring it in the season opener and missed five games as a result. For the season, Greene rushed for 295 yards and 3.8 yards per carry, both of which were career lows, and scored four touchdowns.
Aside from Greene and Sankey, the other running backs currently on the roster include Leon Washington, Jackie Battle, Dexter McCluster and undrafted rookie free agent Antonio Andrews from Western Kentucky.
