2017 NFL Mock Draft - Houston Texans Mock Draft

- Updated: Monday, April 24th

On this page, you will find all of our picks for the Houston Texans in the 2017 NFL Mock Draft from Kevin Hanson.

Here are the picks in our 2017 NFL Mock Draft for the Texans:

1.2525Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson
Awful in his first (and only) season with the Texans, Brock Osweiler completed just 59.0 percent of his pass attempts for 5.8 Y/A and threw more interceptions (16) than touchdowns (15). Freeing up cap space by trading Osweiler (and their second-round pick) to Cleveland, the Texans seemed to be the favorites to add Tony Romo, who has instead opted for CBS Sports. Given his age and fragility though, Romo wouldn't have been the long-term solution in any event.

While Watson has thrown 30 interceptions over the past two seasons combined and that's a concern, the dual-threat quarterback is a natural leader and has come up big in big spots. Leading Clemson to consecutive title game appearances and a national championship win over Alabama in January, Watson had 825 passing yards, 116 rushing yards, eight total touchdowns and only one interception in the past two championship games combined.

2.2557Dan Feeney, G, Indiana
Not only could Houston use an upgrade on the right side of their offensive line at both guard and tackle, but starting left guard Xavier Su'a-Filo will be a free agent after the 2017 season. A four-year starter, Feeney was an AP First-Team All-American in 2016.

3.2589Cameron Sutton, CB, Tennessee
4.23130John Johnson, S, Boston College
4.35142Adam Bisnowaty, OT, Pittsburgh
5.25169Ben Gedeon, LB, Michigan
7.25243Brad Seaton, OT, Villanova
