Continuing with Sean Beazley's 2014 NFL mock draft, here are picks 17 to 32:
17. Baltimore Ravens (draft history): Brandin Cooks, WR, Oregon State
The Ravens offense clearly missed Anquan Boldin last year, so getting another playmaker for Joe Flacco is a priority for the Ravens. I think Cooks is going to be a great fit in the slot for the Ravens. Who better to learn from in that role than Steve Smith?
** Projected trade with NY Jets **
18. Tennessee Titans (draft history): Eric Ebron, TE, North Carolina
At this point of the draft, I would be screaming for the Titans to draft Manziel, but if they don't want him at No. 11, they have no plans in drafting him. Ebron paired with current TE Delanie Walker would be a matchup nightmare for defenses.
19. Miami Dolphins (draft history): Zack Martin, OT, Notre Dame
Miami adds much needed offensive line help with Martin.
20. Arizona Cardinals (draft history): Johnny Manziel, QB, Texas A&M
Johnny Football falls all the way to No. 20. Manziel is in a great spot with the playoff-contending Cardinals.
21. Green Bay Packers (draft history): Calvin Pryor, S, Louisville
I think it comes down to Pryor or CJ.. Mosely. I think the Packers could use a hard-hitting safety like Pryor a tad bit more.
22. Philadelphia Eagles (draft history): Cody Latimer, WR, Indiana
Latimer is shooting up draft boards, and WR is a position of need for the Eagles, as Jeremy Maclin can never stay healthy, and Riley Cooper is just a complementary piece.
23. Kansas City Chiefs (draft history): C.J. Mosley, LB, Alabama
The Chiefs add the top all-around LB in the draft in Mosely.
24. Cincinnati Bengals (draft history): Bradley Roby, CB, Ohio State
Roby would be drafted higher if not for some off-the-field stuff. The Bengals have a history of taking chances on players like this.
25. San Diego Chargers (draft history): Timmy Jernigan, DT, Florida State
Chargers add one of the top defensive linemen in the draft.
26. Cleveland Browns (via IND) (draft history): Jason Verrett, CB, TCU
Verrett is a little undersized, but so is the corner on his other side, Joe Haden. Verrett is a great choice at this point.
27. New Orleans Saints (draft history): Dee Ford, DE/OLB, Auburn
Ford is one of my favorite players in this year's draft, and I think he would be a perfect fit for Rob Ryan's defense in New Orleans.
28. Carolina Panthers (draft history): Marqise Lee, WR, USC
Lee has been plummeting down draft boards, but the Panthers have a huge need for WR. They either need to trade up and grab one, or take what's left here at 28.
29. New England Patriots (draft history): Ra'Shede Hageman, DT/DE, Minnesota
Hageman will be drafted here to eventually replace Vincent Wilfork. The Patriots are very good at evaluating older players, and letting them walk at their downside of their career.
30. San Francisco 49ers (draft history): Kelvin Benjamin, WR, Florida State
Benjamin is the seventh wide receiver selected in the first round, which could be an all-time high. (I'm assuming it is.) Benjamin is an absolute monster, but very raw. Adding another redzone weapon would be huge for San Francisco.
[Editor's note: It would tie the record set one decade ago (2004). Aside from Larry Fitzgerald at No. 3 that year, that class was generally underwhelming despite having five of those seven receivers selected in the top 15.]
31. Denver Broncos (draft history): Ryan Shazier, OLB, Ohio State
A mid first-round talent, Shazier slips all the way to the Broncos near the end of Round 1. The Broncos get a steal here with an all-around talent like Shazier.
32. Seattle Seahawks (draft history): Morgan Moses, OT, Virginia
Seattle could use some help on the offensive line.
