2015 NFL Picks Against the Spread (ATS) - Week 3
Since we began, all of our handicappers have made exactly three picks each week. No more, no less. By limiting our picks to three per week, the goal was to narrow down our picks to only those we thought were quality plays.Starting in 2014, we have switched to a new format allowing each handicapper to make between two to five picks versus the spread each week. In addition, we will use units to better designate each handicapper's confidence in their picks ranging from one to five units.
For tracking purposes, we have tracked (and will track) both wins/losses and units (+/-) against the spread throughout the season.
Cumulative results from previous four seasons:
- 2015 Results: 12-14-1 (46.2 percent) ATS (-7 Units)

Our Week 3 NFL Picks Against the Spread
All of our Week 3 NFL picks against the spread will be centralized in the table below:Contributor | Picks |
---|---|
Sean Beazley 2015: 4-4-0 (50.0%), -5 units 2014: 36-26-3 (58.1%), +32 units 2013: 23-26-2 (46.9%) 2012: 31-20-0 (60.8%) 2011: 27-21-3 (56.3%) |
Indianapolis Colts -3.5 over Tennessee Titans (5 units) Colts at Titans -- Over 46.5 (2 units) Andrew Luck faced the two toughest defenses he will face all season in Weeks 1 and 2. The Titans did a fairly good job vs. Johnny Manziel and the Browns last week. A couple of broken plays and a poor pass rush led to two Travis Benjamin bomb TDs. ... Kevin Hanson 2015: 2-3-1 (40.0%), +3 units 2014: 32-23-0 (58.2%), +22 units 2013: 25-24-2 (51.0%) 2012: 22-28-1 (44.0%) 2011: 33-14-4 (70.2%) |
Indianapolis Colts -3.5 over Tennessee Titans (4 units) Going into the season, the line for this game was likely much higher than 3.5. Since the start of the season, however, the Titans have looked better than expected, and the Colts have looked worse, a lot worse, than expected. ... [View all of Kevin's Week 3 picks here.] |
John Trifone 2015: 1-5-0 (16.7%), -16 units 2014: 31-34-3 (47.7%), +3 units 2013: 26-22-3 (54.2%) 2012: 20-28-3 (41.7%) 2011: N/A |
Indianapolis Colts -3.5 over Tennessee Titans (4 units) So if you haven't started fading my picks yet, you probably should start after my 1-5 start to the year. That said, I'm going to proceed to tell you why the Colts are gong to cover this week. I don't usually like small road favorites, but after an 0-2 start, Indianapolis needs to get a win. I like Andrew Luck to have his first big game of the year and I expect to see a lot of offense. ... [View all of John's Week 3 picks here.] |
Dan Yanotchko 2015: 5-2-0 (71.4%), +10 units 2014: 25-28-0 (47.2%), -9 units 2013: 15-34-2 (30.6%) 2012: 28-23 (54.9%) 2011: 24-21-6 (53.3%) |
Seattle Seahawks -15 over Chicago Bears (3 units) I am usually not the type of person to lay the points with such a big number, but this battle of the 0-2 teams has Seattle needing a win in the worst way and they will pull out all the stops. While John Fox is a great coach, the Bears just simply have way too many obstacles to overcome here, as they will be missing Jay Cutler, Alshon Jeffrey, and Kevin White as well. ...
