Atlanta Falcons Mock Draft Roundup 2.0
Throughout the year and leading up to the 2025 NFL Draft, we will update our Atlanta Falcons Mock Draft Roundup showing picks for the Atlanta Falcons from several prominent sites and draft analysts.
The following are picks in recent mock drafts for the Falcons:
15. Shemar Stewart, EDGE, Texas A&M
With Matthew Judon and Lorenzo Carter set to hit free agency, a screaming need becomes even more necessary in Atlanta. Stewart isn't a true edge bender, but he's a long, strong, athletically blessed pressure player to aid the front.
15. Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State
Tyler Warren is going to come as a surprise for some Falcons fans, but Sean McVay had been interested in Brock Bowers a year ago. I think about the type of player that Zac Robinson would want in that offense and Warren comes to mind quickly. I wonder if Kyle Pitts could be available in a trade this offseason.
15. Shemar Stewart, EDGE, Texas A&M
Atlanta's eternal desperation for a pass rusher could lead to an "HWS" (height/weight/speed) gamble on Stewart. Despite his limited production, the former Aggie could garner interest as a boom-or-bust edge menace.
15. Kenneth Grant, IDL, Michigan
Grant is a monster in the middle whose best football is in front of him. He has excellent size (6-3, 340 pounds) who is very good against the run, but isn't just a plugger. While the Falcons desperately need pass rushers (as has been the case for over a decade), Grant is an easy mover who can be disruptive, but just needs some work harnessing his tools.

15. Will Johnson, CB, Michigan
It's hard to place Johnson right now, for a few reasons. Not many teams in the top 10 need a cornerback, and despite the fact Johnson is likely the best pure corner in this class (by a solid margin), he did miss most of this season with multiple injuries. All that said, this spot feels like it's close to his draft floor.
15. James Pearce Jr., EDGE, Tennessee
Three Atlanta defenders finished with five-plus sacks in 2024 — Arnold Ebiketie (six), Matt Judon (5.5) and Kaden Elliss (five), but they finished 31st in the league in sacks (31). Judon is 32 and an impending free agent. Pearce oozes potential and upside as a pass-rushing specialist, at least, due to his elite burst. He has 17 sacks over the past two seasons.
15. Kenneth Grant, IDL, Michigan
Atlanta's future on defense appears to be in good hands with Raheem Morris. But the team faces an awkward intersection between a defensive coach instilling his scheme and a pair of interior defenders on the wrong side of 30 and approaching expiring contracts. Kenneth Grant is a mauler in the middle who can help flip the outlook on the interior. His ceiling as a pass rusher is added upside that makes him a worthy selection in this stratosphere of the draft.
15. Will Johnson, CB, Michigan
Johnson is a polarizing player around the league. He provides size and production, but some questions emerged about his tackling and top speed in 2024.
15. Shemar Stewart, EDGE, Texas A&M
Expect to hear this name a lot more as we get into predraft events. Stewart still has some development ahead, but his athletic traits at 6-6, 290 pounds could push him up the board this spring. Atlanta was 31st in sacks (31) and 27th in pass rush win rate (34.1%) this season, and it hasn't done nearly enough to clean up that weakness. The Matthew Judon trade in August was a step in the right direction, but he added just 5.5 sacks this season and is a free agent.
Stewart didn't rack up sacks in college -- 1.5 in 2024 -- but he has the potential to break out in a big way in the pros.
