Dallas Cowboys NFL Mock Draft Roundup 1.0
Throughout the year and leading up to the 2026 NFL Draft, we will update our Dallas Cowboys Mock Draft Roundup showing picks for the Dallas Cowboys from several prominent sites and draft analysts.
The following are picks from recent NFL mock drafts for the Dallas Cowboys:
14. Jeremiyah Love, RB, Notre Dame
The Cowboys were linked as landing spots for Ashton Jeanty and Omarion Hampton at various points throughout the 2025 pre-draft process. While Jeanty was already off the board when the Cowboys were on the clock, they drafted a pair of Day 3 running backs — Jaydon Blue and Phil Mafah — to join free-agent additions Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders, both of whom signed one-year deals. The focal point of Notre Dame's offense, Love's blend of speed, power, vision and contact balance would give the Cowboys a true workhorse back.
14. Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State
Tate is the token Ohio State wide receiver in the first round. Will he follow in the footsteps of Chris Olave, Garrett Wilson, Terry McLaurin, Emeka Egbuka, Jaxon Smith-Njigba and others before him? Tate is far from a given, but one to watch in what may be another thin wide receiver group.
13. Ja'Kobi Lane, WR, USC
The Cowboys passed on taking a wide receiver early this year, so they still need a high-level complement to CeeDee Lamb. Enter Lane, who had 12 touchdown catches on 43 receptions last season. Lane has a high-end catch radius and sudden movement traits at 6-4, 195 pounds. I just want to see more consistency. I was in attendance for his three-touchdown performance in the Las Vegas Bowl, but Lane had fewer than 50 yards in seven of the 12 games he played last season. If he expands his route tree and has a few more big games this fall, he could entrench himself as the WR1 of the class.
9. Avieon Terrell, CB, Clemson
Terrell (5-11, 180 pounds) is the brother of Tigers legend and first-round NFL Pro Bowler, A.J. Terrell. The Second Team All-ACC selection recorded 13 PBU, three forced fumbles, two interceptions and 64 tackles as a complete corner and should be an anchor for the Cowboys' secondary for years to come.
12. Jordyn Tyson, WR, Arizona State
While he missed ASU's final two games with an injury, Tyson had a phenomenal second half of 2024 and could be the best receiver in the country, not named Jeremiah Smith. The fact that he's a Dallas-area native will only enhance his value in the eyes of the Cowboys, who finally appease their fans by drafting a high-profile offensive weapon.
14. Jeremiyah Love, RB, Notre Dame
Love is the only running back in this way-too-early mock, but he might be the class' most exciting skill player. If he stays healthy in 2025, he will be in the Heisman discussion and cement his status as a first-round player.
14. Peter Woods, IDL, Clemson
Shockingly quick for a player of his size, Woods has played inside and on the edge at Clemson, generating nine tackles for loss and three sacks among his 28 combined stops in 2024. Those numbers don't come close to capturing his ability to wreak havoc at the line of scrimmage.

12. Anthony Hill Jr., LB, Texas
Whether it's closing in on quarterbacks as a blitzer, thumping in the run game or dropping back in coverage, Hill has a preternatural sense for finding the ball. The 6-3, 237-pound dynamo would be a scintillating figure on the second level of the Cowboys' defense, and Jerry Jones likely would be willing to shrug off questions of positional value more so than many other general managers.
