Indianapolis Colts Mock Draft Roundup 2.0

Throughout the year and leading up to the 2025 NFL Draft, we will update our Indianapolis Colts Mock Draft Roundup showing picks for the Indianapolis Colts from several prominent sites and draft analysts.

The following are picks in recent mock drafts for the Colts:

NFL.com — Eric Edholm

14. Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina

I love Emmanwori's game and think he can rise through the draft process, even if he might be asked about the "miscommunication" over exiting the Gamecocks' bowl game at halftime.

CBS Sports — Josh Edwards

14. Will Johnson, CB, Michigan

Will Johnson has the potential to be the best cornerback to come out of this class. I think there is a bit of fatigue among media, similar to what happened with Derek Stingley Jr., when it comes to Johnson. Based on how he played in 2023, before the injury, he had a Patrick Surtain II-type outlook.

NFL.com — Bucky Brooks

14. Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State

Adding more playmakers on the perimeter is essential to helping Anthony Richardson reach his potential as a franchise quarterback. Warren is a freak athlete with the athletic measurements and production to tickle GM Chris Ballard's fancy.

Yahoo! — Tice/McDonald

14. Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State

The Colts seem to be sticking with Anthony Richardson for another year, so here's a dynamic athlete at tight end to make his life a little easier. For his size (6-foot-6, 261 pounds), Tyler Warren is one of the most impressive athletes in the country and will open up the playbook for Colts head coach Shane Steichen.

The Athletic — Baumgardner/Dochterman

14. Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State

After completing just 56.3 percent of their passes this season with 20 touchdowns and 19 interceptions, the Colts need something to elevate their passing game.

A tight end is a great friend to a young quarterback such as Anthony Richardson, and there's none better this year than Warren (6-6, 261). This fall, he caught 104 passes for 1,233 yards and eight touchdowns. He also was a short-yardage quarterback (218 rushing yards and four more scores plus a passing touchdown). In an overtime win at USC, Warren had 17 receptions for 224 yards.

EDSFootball — Kevin Hanson

14. Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State

What can't Warren do? How about:

  • Snap the ball? ✅
  • Catch a touchdown? ✅
  • On the same play? ✅

That was just one of the 17 receptions for 224 yards and a touchdown Warren had against the USC Trojans. The John Mackey Award recipient finished 2024 with 104 catches for 1,233 yards and eight touchdowns, but he's a do-it-all prospect who makes an impact in both the passing and running game.

The 33rd Team — Kyle Crabbs

14. Malaki Starks, S, Georgia

The Colts have plenty of youth on the defensive side of the ball, but finding someone to tie it all together feels like the final piece of the puzzle. Starks had a quiet year compared to his career standards at Georgia, but make no mistake—this versatile defensive piece can create all kinds of coverage riddles for opposing offenses. Starks' football IQ and versatility on the back end make for an exciting mix amid a group of big, athletic corners.

NFL.com — Daniel Jeremiah

14. Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas

I think you'll see the buzz around Barron continue to grow. He possesses great quickness, instincts and ball skills.

ESPN — Mel Kiper

14. Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State

If the Colts want to maximize quarterback Anthony Richardson, they should be adding to his supporting cast this offseason. Warren catches everything, hauling in 104 of his 135 targets this season for 1,233 yards and eight scores. Penn State used him all over the place -- slot, out wide, in-line, in the backfield -- and he produced no matter the alignment. He could slide right into the Colts' lineup, with Kylen Granson and Mo Alie-Cox both set for free agency.

I also considered going cornerback or safety here -- Indy needs both. If Starks is still available, I like that fit. Maybe South Carolina safety Nick Emmanwori works his way into the conversation, too. But Warren could be awesome in this offense, and the value is much better.
