Kansas City Chiefs Mock Draft Roundup 3.0

Throughout the year and leading up to the 2025 NFL Draft, we will update our Kansas City Chiefs Mock Draft Roundup showing picks for the Kansas City Chiefs from several prominent sites and draft analysts.

The following are picks in recent mock drafts for the Chiefs:

NFL.com — Chad Reuter

27. Tyler Booker, IOL, Alabama

PROJECTED TRADE WITH BALTIMORE RAVENS

Kansas City is haunted by its inability to stop Philadelphia's front four in the Super Bowl. The Chiefs signed 49ers backup tackle Jaylon Moore to a two-year, $30 million free-agent deal, but they keep addressing the OL issue in this exercise. K.C. sends first- and third-round selections to Baltimore for this pick and a fourth-rounder, adding Booker to replace Joe Thuney up front.

CBS Sports — Tom Fornelli

31. Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State

It isn't clear how healthy Josh Simmons will be by the start of the season, but the Chiefs need all the help at tackle they can find. Considering he was viewed as one of the top tackles in the class before his injury, this would be an excellent value pick for the Chiefs.

Yahoo! Sports — Tice/McDonald

31. Matthew Golden, WR, Texas

Offensive line is very much in play here, and there are some interesting names the Chiefs could look at. They instead dip their pen back into the Longhorn ink and take another Texas wide receiver in Golden. He is a smooth athlete who can win against press. He would give Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs' offense yet another weapon to open things up, beat man coverage and hold the fort until Rashee Rice returns from injury.

The Athletic — Beat Writers Mock

31. JT Tuimoloau, EDGE, Ohio State

Since general manager Brett Veach and coach Andy Reid have found quarterback Patrick Mahomes' next left tackle in Jaylon Moore, this mock draft presented two options for the team: Add another pass rusher or acquire Elijah Arroyo, the Miami tight end who could learn from future Hall of Famer Travis Kelce, who could retire after the 2025 season. As enticing as Arroyo is, the most logical decision is Tuimoloau, who is the ideal defensive end for coordinator Steve Spagnuolo. The Chiefs need to bolster their pass rush, especially since six-year veteran Charles Omenihu is still a free agent. Similar to three-year player George Karlaftis, Tuimoloau can rush the quarterback with power, be a plus-defender when setting the edge against the run and be tenacious enough to make second-effort splash highlights. — Nate Taylor

31. Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State

I know the Chiefs signed Jaylon Moore in free agency, but I'm not so sure Simmons won't ultimately be the better option for them at left tackle. Regardless, building quality depth up front would seem like a wise move based on the issues they dealt with last season.

Fox Sports — Rob Rang

24. Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State

The Chiefs acted boldly in free agency to address their offensive line concerns, signing Jaylon Moore to a two-year, $30 million deal. They could show similar aggression on Day 1 of the draft, jumping ahead of the Texans to land Simmons — the most physically gifted left tackle in this class — who could fall further than he should due to his recovery from knee surgery.

Fox Sports — Joel Klatt

31. Aireontae Ersery, OT, Minnesota

Left tackle was a problem for the Chiefs last season, and they've already played musical chairs at the position this offseason. They traded away Joe Thuney, who temporarily started at the position, and signed Jalen Moore to likely play the position. But Moore has never been a full-time starter there. Ersery was an All-American at Minnesota and is experienced (38 starts), which would help the Chiefs replenish their talent at a rare position of need.

ESPN — Mel Kiper

31. Kelvin Banks Jr., OT, Texas

This could easily be Oregon's Josh Conerly, who is right behind Banks on my offensive tackle rankings and a potential first-rounder. Honestly, either player would be a good pick. The Chiefs' pass protection issues were on full display during the Super Bowl, and signing Jaylon Moore -- a backup in San Francisco before getting a two-year deal with the Chiefs -- is no guarantee to solve anything. Wanya Morris, Kingsley Suamataia and D.J. Humphries weren't the answers, and Joe Thuney -- who was a stopgap fix in moving outside from guard -- is now in Chicago.

Banks has the traits to help fortify Patrick Mahomes' protection. Perhaps Banks wins the left tackle job over Moore. Maybe he replaces Jawaan Taylor on the right side. And maybe he even kicks inside to Thuney's vacated guard spot. Regardless of where he plays, Banks' experience (42 college starts), quickness and power would be welcomed in Kansas City.

CBS Sports — Mike Renner

31. Grey Zabel, IOL, North Dakota State

Grey Zabel looked like a Day 1 starter on the interior at the Senior Bowl, and that's just what the now Joe Thuney-less Chiefs need. His background at tackle for North Dakota State could help in a pinch as well.

The 33rd Team — Kyle Crabbs

31. Tyleik Williams, IDL, Ohio State

Kansas City lost Tershawn Wharton in free agency and is still thin here despite the addition of Jerry Tillery.

Given the improving offensive lines across the AFC West, the Chiefs would be wise not to skimp at defensive tackle. Williams is an excellent run defender who could prospect next to Chris Jones.
