Los Angeles Chargers Mock Draft Roundup 2.0
Throughout the year and leading up to the 2025 NFL Draft, we will update our Los Angeles Chargers Mock Draft Roundup showing picks for the Los Angeles Chargers from several prominent sites and draft analysts.
The following are picks in recent mock drafts for the Chargers:
22. Kaleb Johnson, RB, Iowa
Ashton Jeanty isn't the only enticing RB in this class. I think Johnson could be a warhorse in Greg Roman's offense eventually, assuming the Chargers will seek more reliable backfield options, with J.K. Dobbins hitting the market this offseason. Dobbins had his moments in 2024, but health will always be a question for him.
22. Tyler Booker, IOL, Alabama
Offensive guard is probably not at the top of the list of Los Angeles' needs, but it was a problem area down the stretch. Tyler Booker is the fourth former first-round pick on that offensive line and a stabilizing presence.
22. Matthew Golden, WR, Texas
The Chargers cannot continue to win with Ladd McConkey operating as a one-man show in the passing game. Golden would add speed and playmaking ability to the lineup.
22. Shavon Revel Jr., CB, East Carolina
The Chargers defense needs a blue-chip player at cornerback and there might not be a better option at this point than ECU corner Shavon Revel. Revel missed all of last season with a torn ACL, but he has the prototypical size (6-3, 193 pounds) and speed to grow into a number on cornerback.

22. Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan
A perfect spot for Jim Harbaugh to scoop up one of his former Wolverines. Loveland somehow caught 56 passes for 582 yards and five touchdowns this season, despite playing in the worst passing offense in power-conference football. A solid blocker, too, he would start immediately for the Chargers and give Justin Herbert a quality third-down threat.
22. Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan
Ladd McConkey exceeded expectations as a rookie, and it would make sense to get another weapon in the passing game for Justin Herbert. Loveland is a receiving mismatch due to his speed, athleticism and route running.
22. Matthew Golden, WR, Texas
The Chargers need some lightning to go with all of that thunder. This physical offense helped turn the tide in Year One under Harbaugh, but there's little question that the team's lack of wide receiver help lingers as a big need. Landing Matthew Golden to complement Ladd McConkey gives the Chargers an explosive run-after-catch threat and vertical option to go with McConkey's excellent slot profile.
22. Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan
The Chargers need to give Justin Herbert more firepower. The coaching staff will be extremely familiar with what Loveland brings to the table.
22. Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan
How about a seam-stretching tight end for quarterback Justin Herbert? Loveland is a tough matchup for defenses -- he's 6-5, 245 pounds, and he has some speed. He had 56 catches, 582 yards and 5 TDs this season despite subpar play from Michigan's quarterback room. He played for Jim Harbaugh at Michigan, too, so there's a built-in connection.
L.A. has to also look at the receiver group. Four WRs are off the board already, which is why I opted for Loveland. It's just too big of a reach to Utah State's Jalen Royals, TCU's Savion Williams or Texas' Isaiah Bond. But if one of those guys rises over the next few months, that might be the priority.
