New Orleans Saints Mock Draft Roundup 3.0
Throughout the year and leading up to the 2025 NFL Draft, we will update our New Orleans Saints Mock Draft Roundup showing picks for the New Orleans Saints from several prominent sites and draft analysts.
The following are picks in recent mock drafts for the Saints:
9. Will Johnson, CB, Michigan
Johnson's injuries, including a hamstring issue that forced him to miss Michigan's pro day, could push him down some draft boards, but the Saints have a major need at cornerback after trading away Marshon Lattimore last season. The former Wolverine was widely viewed as a top-five prospect entering the 2024 season because of his rare combination of size (6-foot-1 3/4, 194 pounds) and instincts on the outside. He is still top-10 worthy if New Orleans is satisfied with his medical reports.
9. Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia
Cam Jordan isn't getting any younger and the Saints could use help in their pass rush. Mykel Williams hasn't had the production you'd expect given his ability, but his size and athleticism are what you're buying into here.
9. Will Johnson, CB, Michigan
The Saints are a wild card here. Any position would seem feasible and understandable. They nab Johnson in this scenario, a cornerback with ideal size (6-foot-1, 194 pounds) but who lacks ideal long speed. Johnson could start right away for the Saints and give New Orleans a long-term solution at the position after trading away Marshon Lattimore and losing Paulson Adebo in free agency.

9. Will Campbell, OT, LSU
New Orleans' offensive line was in shambles for much of last season, even after adding left tackle Taliese Fuaga as the team's first-round pick last year. The Saints could use either a tackle or a guard and I went with Membou in our previous mock draft. With Membou's stock on the rise, Campbell still feels like an easy pick. Right tackle would appear to be the spot for Campbell in an attempt to replace 2022 first-round pick Trevor Penning. The Saints possess numerous holes throughout the roster for new coach Kellen Moore so the best player available at almost any position here would benefit this team. — Larry Holder
9. Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama
Campbell has the versatility to be a major weapon for a creative defensive coordinator like Brandon Staley.
9. Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona
Even when Chris Olave is healthy, the Saints need more weapons to support him and the reality is, the speedy 2022 first-round selection is rarely that — missing a dozen games to injury over his first three years in the NFL. McMillan's unique blend of size, acceleration and ball-skills would make him an ideal battery mate for a team needing more playmakers.
9. Mason Graham, IDL, Michigan
The Saints bolster the interior of their defensive front with Graham, who can be a defensive foundation for years.
31. Grey Zabel, IOL, North Dakota State
Chiefs GM Brett Veach obtains No. 40 (second round) and No. 71 (third round) from New Orleans in this deal.
9. Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia
Williams had an incredible pro day at Georgia, running a 4.73 in the 40 at 6-foot-5 and 260 pounds. The only reason why he didn't have a better year in 2024 was due to a nagging ankle injury. I think he could've had a huge year. That Saints defense needs some help, finishing 30th in yards allowed. Williams would give them a much-needed playmaker.
9. Jaxson Dart, QB, Mississippi
OK, here's the surprise pick. And I know the Saints just restructured Derek Carr's contract to tie him to the team for at least one more season. But what happens after that season? New coach Kellen Moore might want a young quarterback to work with and develop over the course of 2025 before turning the offense over to him in 2026. I'm hearing more and more first-round buzz on Dart, and New Orleans seems like a good fit. He wouldn't be forced to play right away and could learn behind Carr. This team still has a lot of roster-building decisions to make, but getting the QB of the future now does make some sense.
Dart was very accurate in Lane Kiffin's run-pass option offense at Ole Miss, and he can cause headaches for opposing defensive coordinators with his ability to tuck and run. Dart threw for 4,279 yards and rushed for 655 more last season.

9. Will Campbell, OT, LSU
The Saints don't have to go too far to find the missing piece to their offensive line. Will Campbell would slot in at left guard and give New Orleans one of the best run-blocking lines in the NFL.
9. Will Johnson, CB, Michigan
The Saints saw Paulson Adebo leave in free agency on a deal worth upwards of $18 million per season. That's certainly not a price point they could contend with, given their other needs.
The value pick is Will Johnson, which would give the Saints a potential secondary of Johnson, Kool-Aid McKinstry, Alontae Taylor, Tyrann Mathieu, and Justin Reid. That'll play.
