New York Jets NFL Mock Draft Roundup 1.0
Throughout the year and leading up to the 2026 NFL Draft, we will update our New York Jets Mock Draft Roundup showing picks for the New York Jets from several prominent sites and draft analysts.
The following are picks from recent NFL mock drafts for the New York Jets:
2. LaNorris Sellers, QB, South Carolina
As the youngest quarterback in this mock, Sellers, who won't turn 21 until after the 2026 NFL Draft, may opt to return for another season. If he can improve his consistency and cut down on turnovers, however, the dual-threat's combination of elite size, arm strength and mobility give him as much upside as any quarterback in this draft class if he declares. While Justin Fields is under contract through 2026, Aaron Glenn, Darren Mougey, etc. could look for an upgrade.

4. Caleb Banks, IDL, Florida
Banks is a taller prospect that throws his weight around. There is a stack and shed element to his game. After recording 4.5 sacks this past season, Banks will need to take his game to another level. The Jets had been linked to defensive tackles leading up to the 2025 NFL Draft, but they did not select one this year.
4. LaNorris Sellers, QB, South Carolina
If the Jets are picking this high, they probably didn't have a great 2025 season. And that means they would be in the market for a quarterback, despite another year on Justin Fields' contract.
Sellers' superb traits make him a contender for a meteoric rise up the board. He's a true dual threat, having passed for 2,534 yards and 18 touchdowns with 7 interceptions in 2024 while rushing for another 674 yards and seven scores. Sellers will have to improve his pocket vision and ball security (six lost fumbles in seven games), but he has the physical tools that NFL teams covet. He reminds me a lot of Donovan McNabb coming out of Syracuse.

4. Cade Klubnik, QB, Clemson
The Justin Fields experiment is merely a stopgap measure until a long-term answer is uncovered for the Jets quarterback position. Klubnik (6-2, 210 pounds) is a former five-star recruit who came of age last year and is piloting a lethal Clemson offense that is loaded with three future NFL wide receivers.
3. Drew Allar, QB, Penn State
After signing Justin Fields, it's clear the Jets could be in the market for a new signal-caller to build the franchise around in 2026. Allar very well could have been a top-10 pick had he entered the '25 draft, but returning to school should pay off long term as he rounds off a few of the edges when it comes to his decision making and starts to live up to the kind of ceiling that many believe he has.
2. LaNorris Sellers, QB, South Carolina
With his dual-threat skills, Sellers was one of the most entertaining college quarterbacks to watch last season. It is probably too early to be talking about him this early in the draft, but that will change if he takes another step in his development as a passer.
2. Cade Klubnik, QB, Clemson
A stark contrast to No. 1 overall pick Arch Manning, Klubnik enters his third season as Clemson's full-time starter and on the heels of a sparkling 2024 campaign in which he completed 63.4% of his passes for 3,639 yards and 36 touchdowns against just six interceptions. While slightly shorter than scouts would prefer, Klubnik offers an exciting combination of improvisational skills, accuracy and athleticism.

3. Caleb Downs, S, Ohio State
A safety hasn't been selected in the top three picks since 1991, when Eric Turner went No. 2 overall to the Browns. Yet while Downs inevitably will have trouble warding off players at premium positions to secure a spot this high, he's unquestionably one of college football's most electric figures thanks to his outstanding instincts both in coverage and stopping the run. He would be an immediate tone-setter for Aaron Glenn as the coach tries to instill a culture of accountability for Gang Green.
