Shedeur Sanders — NFL Mock Draft Roundup 1.0
Leading up to the 2025 NFL Draft, we will track where Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders appears in the latest NFL mock drafts.
Shedeur Sanders NFL Mock Drafts
Here are some of the latest mock drafts in which Sanders has appeared:
No. 7 overall — New York Jets
I'm not buying the "Sanders at No. 1" talk, and I thought about sliding him down further (to the Steelers?), but then I remembered the Jets don't really have a QB. Maybe it doesn't happen, but this pairing would be ... interesting.
No. 3 overall — New York Giants
The Giants are desperate for a quarterback addition. They probably would take whichever option was left over. In this case, Shedeur Sanders returns to the Big Apple where he attended the Heisman Trophy ceremony. Sanders is a prospect who has dealt with pressure his whole life and has experience captaining a rebuild.
No. 1 overall — Tennessee Titans
Second-year head coach Brian Callahan and new general manager Mike Borgonzi jump-start the Titans' rebuild with a franchise quarterback boasting big-game moxie and experience engineering program turnarounds.
No. 3 overall — New York Giants
The Giants get their new QB of the future, and a player who is used to pressure, attention and bright lights. While this is a tad rich for where Sanders will end up on big boards, he's tough, competitive, has plenty of arm strength to attack all areas of the field and can really drive on throws. QB desperation is a real thing, especially in New York.
The Athletic — Baumgardner/Dochterman
No. 6 overall — Las Vegas Raiders
Is there a more perfect arrangement than Sanders heading to the Raiders? A polarizing prospect who's had to deal with plenty of scrutiny (including for his early season criticism of his own offensive line), Sanders was a driving force in Colorado turning from the worst power-conference program into Big 12 regular-season co-champion.
Sanders has the arm and swagger to lead right away. How he handles pressure situations will determine whether he succeeds or fails, and how the Raiders' front office — including Tom Brady — evaluates him.

No. 3 overall — New York Giants
Here's the list of Giants quarterbacks currently under contract for the 2025 NFL season: end of list.
Tommy DeVito is an ERFA, but the Giants will likely add to the quarterback room in both free agency and the draft. Given that it's a relatively weak quarterback class, it's possible that they select Travis Hunter (or another blue chip prospect) here and target a quarterback near the top of Round 2 instead. Sacked nearly 100 times over the past two seasons, Sanders tends to hold the ball too long, but he's tough, extremely accurate and has the ability to make plays outside of the pocket.

No. 6 overall — Las Vegas Raiders
Las Vegas's quarterback situation is going into its third year without a resolution. Getting the opportunity to secure a quarterback to pair with new head coach Pete Carroll would go a long way in fortifying a team identity and rebuilding the program's culture. Carroll is the perfect coach to connect with Sanders and help him realize his potential as a quarterback, thanks to his personality and willingness to not put too much on the quarterback's plate.
No. 6 overall — Las Vegas Raiders
Tom Brady, now a partner in the Raiders' ownership, is someone who would appreciate Sanders' toughness, accuracy and decision making.
No. 3 overall — New York Giants
This is the best-case scenario for the Giants. Their Week 17 win over the Colts slid them to No. 3, and now finding a new QB1 in the first round isn't guaranteed. But Daniel Jones is gone and Drew Lock is a free agent, so the Giants have to do something to clean up one of the worst passing games in the league. New York will be weighing all options, and it might ultimately be forced to trade up into the top two to get its guy. But here, Sanders falls into the Giants' lap without any extra moves.
Sanders is super accurate, completing 74% of his throws this season. He could step in right away and lift the entire offense, including standout 2024 first-rounder Malik Nabers. Time is running out for GM Joe Schoen and coach Brian Daboll; they have to get this right.
