Will Campbell — NFL Mock Draft Roundup 1.0
Leading up to the 2025 NFL Draft, we will track where LSU Tigers offensive lineman Will Campbell appears in the latest NFL mock drafts.
Will Campbell NFL Mock Drafts
Here are some of the latest mock drafts in which Campbell has appeared:
No. 10 overall — Chicago Bears
He might get dinged for the arm-length thing. I couldn't care less. I'd love to see Campbell at tackle, but he could be a four-position starter as a rookie.
No. 7 overall — New York Jets
Olu Fashanu replaced Tyron Smith at left tackle, and the thought here is that Will Campbell replaces Morgan Moses at right tackle. New York obviously has a quarterback situation to figure out this offseason as well.
No. 7 overall — New York Jets
Building up the trenches is a part of the Jets' plan to compete with the AFC's heavyweights. Campbell is a rock-solid offensive tackle prospect with the size, strength and skill to dominate on the edges from Day 1.
No. 4 overall — New England Patriots
New England seemingly found its quarterback in Drake Maye, who was stellar as a rookie last season. Now, the Patriots need to find serious help on the offensive line in order to make sure he has the most help possible to see his career through. Campbell is a Day 1 starter at left tackle who will be a nice building block on New England's mission to improve the offensive line.
The Athletic — Baumgardner/Dochterman
No. 5 overall — Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jaguars could go a number of directions here — and they might have to choose a different one, as Campbell could be off the board before we get to this spot. But if OT1 is still available, Jacksonville has to pounce, because protecting Trevor Lawrence should be priority No. 1. Campbell, a three-year starting left tackle, could be a culture-changer who is athletic enough to play guard, if needed.
No. 10 overall — Chicago Bears
Chicago's offense was a major disappointment in 2024, but optimism abounds with the signing of Ben Johnson, who will bring competence and creativity to the offensive coaching staff. Caleb Williams was sacked a league-most 68 times. While part of the blame belongs to Williams, upgrades to the offensive line figures to be a top objective this offseason. Campbell, who started at left tackle for LSU the moment he stepped on campus, may be viewed as a better guard prospect due to arm length, but he will immediately upgrade this offensive line and help keep Williams upright.
No. 2 overall — Cleveland Browns
Cleveland is another team in the quarterback market but has some loose ends that may prove difficult to tie together and justify a top draft choice in a shaky QB market. This team's foundation has deteriorated over the past two seasons—the Browns have been known for stout offensive line play and a strong running game. The 2025 offseason threatens both. If the Browns also choose to bypass the quarterback market for a veteran, securing a position-flexible mauler in the trenches feels very "Cleveland."
No. 4 overall — New England Patriots
The Patriots must help Drake Maye on the offensive line. I see Campbell as a safe, steady player who is still improving.
No. 10 overall — Chicago Bears
The Bears have had three top-10 picks since Ryan Poles became the GM in 2022, and they've used them all on offense. But anyone who watched Chicago play this season knows Caleb Williams needs better protection; the rookie QB took 68 sacks. The entire offensive line class is still on the board here, and it's close between Campbell and Texas' Kelvin Banks Jr. at the top.
I lean Campbell because he was better this season and has more size at 6-foot-6, 323 pounds, even though Banks is ranked higher on my board (No. 10 vs. No. 11). Campbell gave up just two sacks over 524 pass-block snaps this season. There are some length concerns, and he might kick inside to guard, but Chicago needs help all over that line.
