Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 3

Every week, I list players to potentially target from your league's waiver wire that could help your fantasy team in the short and/or long term.

To maximize the potential that these players are available in your league(s), I only include those that are available in 50% or more of Yahoo! leagues.

Given that self-imposed limitation, Indianapolis Colts running back Zack Moss (rostered in 53% of Yahoo! leagues) will be excluded from this week's list. If he's available in your league(s), however, Moss would top our rankings of players to add.

With Moss (broken arm) out in Week 1, Deon Jackson handled nearly all of the team's running back touches but flopped. In Week 2, it was all Moss. He played all but one offensive snap.

For as long as Jonathan Taylor is out (a minimum of two more games), Moss should handle heavy workloads.

It's unclear what will happen when Taylor is eligible to return from the PUP list. While a trade never materialized before the season, it's still possible that he gets dealt before the Oct. 31st deadline.

Speaking of short-term opportunities, Giants running back Saquon Barkley is expected to miss the next three weeks with an "ordinary" ankle sprain, which will give Matt Breida an expanded role. The Giants face the 49ers, Seahawks and Dolphins over the next three weeks.
