Los Angeles Sparks 2025 WNBA Draft Mock Draft Roundup 1.0
Leading up to the 2025 WNBA Draft, we will track which prospects are mocked to the Los Angeles Sparks.
Here are the Los Angeles Sparks selections in some recent mock drafts:
9. Shyanne Sellers, Maryland
The Los Angeles Sparks and Kelsey Plum want everyone to think she'll play point guard this season. DON'T BELIEVE THEM. While Plum is fully capable, she's best as a shooting guard who can play the point *if necessary*.
It wouldn't be shocking to see her slide over to the two-spot. So, when she does, L.A. will need help at point guard. For the love of all that is good, Sparks, please draft Maryland's Shyanne Sellers.
Even if you're sold on KP as your point, Sellers can also play shooting guard. IT'S PERFECT. She's BRILLIANT in open space, and she's a walking tool kit. She can rebound, defend well, dish the ball, and, of course, score from all over.

9. Ajsa Sivka, Slovenia
New Sparks coach Lynne Roberts is bringing her 3-point heavy offense from Utah to Los Angeles, and Sivka is a perfect fit for that approach. The 19-year-old Slovenian is a big wing who can space the floor and offers a lot of positional flexibility. Sivka also makes sense here for the Sparks because they have a crowded depth chart already and she could be a draft-and-stash option.
9. Juste Jocyte, Lithuania
The Los Angeles Sparks have undergone major changes this offseason and seem determined to quickly reload. With that in mind, they go with the best player available at the No. 9 pick.
Los Angeles has a track record of success in the international game, and with this pick, the team could identify a young promising talent for the immediate future or to stash.
Justė Jocytė is one of the most talented players to ever come out of Europe, let alone Lithuania. The 6'2" guard has been competing against WNBA pros since she was 13 years old. She currently plays alongside Dominique Malonga for LDLC ASVEL Féminin and is averaging 12.3 points, 2.7 assists and 1.8 steals per game.
Only 19 years old, she plays well beyond her years and is always poised on the biggest stage. Being thrown into the fire at such a young age has forged a pro-ready big guard who has always had WNBA ambition.
She has evolved from a primary facilitator to more off the ball and has a highly advanced IQ for her age. She understands her strengths and weaknesses and plays to her advantage every possession.

9. Te-Hina Paopao, South Carolina
This would be a return home to southern California for Paopao, who is from Oceanside in San Diego County. After three seasons at Oregon, she transferred to South Carolina and helped the Gamecocks win the national championship last season. Now in her fifth year of college (due to the COVID-19 waiver from 2020-21), Paopao is averaging 10.4 points and shooting 37.6% from beyond the arc for the 22-1 Gamecocks.
