Boogie Fland - NBA Mock Draft Roundup 1.0

Leading up to the 2025 NBA Draft, we will track where Arkansas Razorbacks guard Boogie Fland appears in the latest NBA mock drafts.

Boogie Fland NBA Mock Drafts

Here are some of the latest mock drafts in which Boogie Fland has appeared:

For the Win — Bryan Kalbrosky

Round 1, Pick 22 — Dallas Mavericks

Arkansas freshman Boogie Fland is an interesting guard who is an undeniably productive floor general. He currently leads all freshmen in points assisted this season, per CBB Analytics. But he is a bit undersized and struggles to finish at the rim, which does not project well for his long-term ability to contribute at the next level considering he is also not currently an elite 3-point shooter.

CBS Sports — Adam Finkelstein

Round 1, Pick 12 — San Antonio Spurs (via ATL)

If the Spurs look to solidify the point guard spot, Fland gives them the shooting necessary to space the floor around Wemby. He's added an extra dimension of burst to his game this year and proven he's capable of creating for others. Building up his body will be a requisite to withstanding the physicality of the next level.

Bleacher Report — Jonathan Wasserman

Round 1, Pick 23 — Dallas Mavericks

Boogie Fland is in a slump that's exposed some of the worries and risk tied to his 175-pound frame and lack of explosion for generating easy opportunities. Still, there is enough evidence of NBA-level shotmaking, while his 5.8 assists per game reflects legitimate creativity and playmaking.

NBA teams seem most likely to view Fland as more of a bench spark than starting lead guard.

The Athletic — Sam Vecenie

Round 1, Pick 22 — Orlando Magic (via DEN)

Fland is one of those players whom scouts seem to agree upon as being good but don't have much consensus on where he should be taken. Undoubtedly, that's because of his size. Fland is listed at 6-2, but teams are highly skeptical that he'll actually come in at that height at the NBA Draft Combine. He has a strong, powerful frame that helps make up for that lack of height. But position-locked smaller guards tend to be quite polarizing, and Fland hasn't finished well around the rim this season. He's not overly vertical and doesn't have a ton of explosiveness. But he can really shoot the ball, and he has consistently made terrific decisions. He's averaging 15.6 points and 5.9 assists versus only 1.8 turnovers. NBA teams are very interested to see him in conference play to see if the scoring efficiency can stay at a solid level, as Fland has a 47.4 true shooting percentage against what KenPom classifies as Tier A or B opponents. These upcoming games will be a big separator for Fland.

ESPN — Givony/Woo

Round 1, Pick 26 — Memphis Grizzlies

The Grizzlies (24-13) are one of the Western Conference's top teams and could look to stockpile talent through the draft, which they've done successfully in recent years. Memphis could deepen its backcourt with Fland, Arkansas' go-to guy at 18 years old. He has shown impressive scoring prowess by playing off hesitation moves, driving and dishing, and hitting pull-up jumpers from all over the floor, all while being competitive on defense.

Not blessed with great physical tools, scoring efficiency has been a struggle for Fland against better opponents (39% on 2-point attempts, 25% on 3-pointers vs. Top-100 competition). Scouts will be monitoring how he guides Arkansas in the brutal SEC, where he'll be tested each game. -- Givony

Fox Sports — John Fanta

Round 1, Pick 12 — Detroit Pistons

The John Calipari recruit never stops moving and is a flash in transition, possessing a variety of guard skills. He has a ton of upside because of how hot he can get as a shooter. He recently shot 5-for-8 from 3-point range in a win over Oakland, finishing with 24 points, while scoring 20 in a win over Michigan at the Jimmy V Classic. Not only is Fland a multidimensional scorer, but he averages 5.9 assists per game.
