Drake Powell NBA Mock Drafts

Here are some of the latest mock drafts in which Drake Powell has appeared:

Bleacher Report — Jonathan Wasserman

Round 1, Pick 28 — Boston Celtics

Pro Comparison: Will Barton, Keon Johnson

Teams figure to put extra stock into Drake Powell's NBA combine performance and workouts after he spent the year spotting up 49.2 percent of North Carolina's possessions and taking just 5.7 shots per game.

Despite the lack of production, there could still be first-round interest based on his outstanding physical profile, defensive projection and 37.9 percent three-point shooting.

CBS Sports — Kyle Boone

Round 1, Pick 24 — Oklahoma City Thunder (via LAC)

OKC has enough on its roster and in its treasure trove of assets to be afforded big swings in this draft. Powell is indeed a big swing. He was just-OK as a freshman at UNC but has length, shooting and defensive tools to be a special role player.

Yahoo! Sports — Kevin O'Connor

Round 1, Pick 35 — Philadelphia 76ers

The Sixers could use more wing defense and Powell is a switch-everything defender who plays with a high motor. If his spot-up jumper translates he checks all the boxes to be a 3-and-D role player at a minimum. Without the guarantee of a jumper, he at least has a chiseled frame that he uses to barrel into defenders at the rim and to contain opponents when he's on defense.
