Detroit Lions NFL Mock Draft Roundup 1.0

Throughout the year and leading up to the 2027 NFL Draft, we will update our Detroit Lions Mock Draft Roundup showing picks for the Detroit Lions from several prominent sites and draft analysts.

The following are picks from recent NFL mock drafts for the Detroit Lions:

Fox Sports — Rob Rang

22. Keon Sabb, S, Alabama

Given all the electric playmakers in today's NFL, reliable open-field tackling is at a premium. Sabb sports a rocked-up, pro-ready frame, and he's quick to trigger downhill, blasting ball-carriers with explosive hits.

For the Win — Christian D'Andrea

25. Damon Wilson II, EDGE, Miami (FL)

Wilson thrived with the opportunity Missouri presented. Now he'll be tasked with keeping the Hurricane pass rush clicking after transferring to the ACC.

CBS Sports — Ryan Wilson

25. Clev Lubin, EDGE, Louisville

Lubin marries high-end power-rush capabilities with the discipline to shut down the run. His rare ability to drop into zone coverage makes him an ideal hybrid player in the ever-evolving defensive schemes that rely more and more on "positionless" play.

ESPN — Jordan Reid

21. Cayden Green, IOL, Missouri

The Lions addressed their need at tackle by drafting Blake Miller in the first round last week, but guard remains one of their biggest question marks. Green shifted to tackle last season, but his long-term NFL outlook is at guard. He's a physical presence at 6-foot-5, 324 pounds who is able to latch onto defenders to create run lanes. Green makes good initial hand contact in pass protection but still needs to improve his strike timing. His mobility was limited last season because of a foot injury, so that's worth watching this upcoming season.

The Athletic — Dane Brugler

23. Jayden Maiava, QB, USC

Despite losing Makai Lemon and Ja'Kobi Lane, Maiava is in a situation to become a Heisman contender and push for a spot in the first round.

CBS Sports — Cooper Petagna

23. KJ Bolden, S, Georgia

A former five-star and steady contributor in Kirby Smart's defense, Bolden brings the run-pass versatility and instincts demanded of a first-round safety. While this may be a bit rich, his football intelligence and ability to play multiple spots in the secondary should strengthen his case.

PFF — Daire Carragher

25. Kelley Jones, CB, Mississippi State

Listed at 6-foot-4, Jones is a tantalizing prospect. He is a long, lean, disciplined perimeter cornerback who allowed just 11 receptions on 375 coverage snaps last season. Jones is a pass-breakup machine with strong instincts at the catch point.
