Peter Woods — 2026 NFL Mock Draft Roundup 1.0

Leading up to the 2026 NFL Draft, we will track where Clemson Tigers defensive lineman Peter Woods appears in the latest NFL mock drafts.

Peter Woods NFL Mock Drafts

Here are some of the latest mock drafts in which Peter Woods has appeared:

EDSFootball - Kevin Hanson

No. 7 overall — Las Vegas Raiders

Woods has the versatility to play up and down the defensive line, and he aligned outside the offensive tackle more than 30% of the time in 2024, per PFF, compared to only 7.6% in 2023. At 6'3" and 315 pounds, Woods has the size, strength, agility and motor to make him the early favorite to be the DT1 in this class.

CBS Sports - Josh Edwards

No. 9 overall — Indianapolis Colts

Indianapolis went tight end in the first round as expected, but it is important to identify pieces to that interior defensive line in the coming years. The hope is that Woods continues on his upward trajectory.

ESPN - Jordan Reid

No. 3 overall — Tennessee Titans (via (projected trade with CLE/JAX))

If I were making a way-too-early rankings board, Woods would have an argument to be at the top. At 6-3 and 315 pounds, he has a nonstop motor and wreaks havoc. He has excellent hand power to stack, shed and disrupt plays. Woods had three sacks last season on the interior, and his pass-rush upside would be welcomed in Tennessee.

NBC Sports - Eric Froton

No. 11 overall — Seattle Seahawks

Clemson is absolutely loaded on both sides of the ball, as Woods (6-3, 315 pounds) is a special athlete who lined up at EDGE for 171 of his 395 defensive snaps despite weighing 315 pounds. The third-year player is a force on the interior as a two-gapping run stopper who tears through 1-on-1 matchups.

SI - Bryan Fischer

No. 10 overall — New England Patriots

No franchise seems to like defensive versatility more than the Pats, who will be thrilled to land somebody such as Woods who can play up and down the line. He's better suited inside where he could be the top defensive tackle entering the draft if he remains as productive as he was last season.

The Athletic - Dane Brugler

No. 20 overall — Houston Texans

The Clemson defensive coaches would line up the 315-pound Woods at defensive end last season to get the best four linemen on the field — and Woods didn't look out of place. He will move inside to defensive tackle in 2025 and is on a first-round trajectory.

Fox Sports - Rob Rang

No. 14 overall — Dallas Cowboys

Shockingly quick for a player of his size, Woods has played inside and on the edge at Clemson, generating nine tackles for loss and three sacks among his 28 combined stops in 2024. Those numbers don't come close to capturing his ability to wreak havoc at the line of scrimmage.

USA Today - Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz

No. 8 overall — Las Vegas Raiders

After a stellar debut as a freshman, Woods played out of position on the edge for much of last season before being bumped back inside. That might have obscured just how much of a problem the 6-3, 315-pounder can pose for offenses. Pairing Woods with fellow Clemson product Christian Wilkins would give Las Vegas two matchups problems on the interior.
