Joe Burrow: Burrow, now a two-time AP NFL Comeback Player of the Year, had an MVP-caliber season. (Of course, so did Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson.) In any event, Burrow led the NFL in both passing yards (4,918) and touchdowns (43). With Cincinnati doling out massive contracts to both Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins this offseason, it's all systems go for Burrow and the Bengals offense, who will often find themselves needing to keep up with their leaky defense. If I miss out any of the top five fantasy quarterbacks in 2025, I'd prefer to wait quite a bit before drafting my starter.

RUNNING BACKS

Chase Brown: After Zack Moss was injured, Brown handled 189 touches (23.6/G) over his final eight games. During that eight-game stretch, Brown was top five in fantasy points (both overall and PPG). Bringing back Samaje Perine, who was a Bengal from 2019-2022, likely bodes well for Brown's 2025 lead role and outlook given the talented and deep running back class about to enter the NFL.

WIDE RECEIVERS

Charlie Jones1.211.60.10002.36
WR Totals234.62994.824280.08562.06

Ja'Marr Chase: Chase led the NFL in receptions (127), yards (1,708) and touchdowns (17) in 2024 to become the fifth triple crown winner since the league merger. There were nine 35-point wide receiver performances league-wide in 2024, and Chase had three (one-third) of them. From Week 5 on, Chase had a 31.46% target share with a weekly minimum of 24.32%.

Tee Higgins: While he would be a WR1 elsewhere, Higgins will continue to benefit from being the 1B to Chase. While he has missed exactly five games in back-to-back seasons, Higgins finished second (behind Chase) among all wide receivers in fantasy points per game in 2024.

Andrei Iosivas: With the Bengals signing Chase and Higgins to long-term extensions, the fantasy outlook for Iosivas or Jermaine Burton, the 80th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, is diminished compared to what their roles would have been had Higgins departed in free agency. Barring injuries, neither is likely to finish top four on the team in targets in 2025.

TIGHT ENDS

Erick All Jr.12.1104.60.300018.31

Mike Gesicki: Playing for his third team in three seasons, Gesicki had his best season (65/665/2) over that span in his first with Joe Burrow and the Bengals, so re-signing with the Bengals was probably best for his outlook. That said, it's difficult to trust him as your starting tight end unless one of the team's big two receivers are sidelined. Both of his touchdown receptions were caught in a single game, and Gesicki had as many games wtih 18 (or fewer) scoreless yards (six) as he had 50-plus yard games in 2024.
