Hugo Gonzalez - NBA Mock Draft Roundup 1.0
Leading up to the 2025 NBA Draft, we will track where Real Madrid (Spain) guard/forward Hugo Gonzalez appears in the latest NBA mock drafts.
Hugo Gonzalez NBA Mock Drafts
Here are some of the latest mock drafts in which Hugo Gonzalez has appeared:
Round 1, Pick 26 — Brooklyn Nets (via NYK)
Gonzalez is a high-IQ wing with an equally high motor, yet he's very difficult to evaluate this year because he doesn't get a ton of minutes. Brooklyn has enough picks to make the risk worth the reward.
Bleacher Report — Jonathan Wasserman
Round 1, Pick 19 — Oklahoma City Thunder (via MIA)
After a breakout 14-point game on December 15, Hugo Gonzalez has gone back to Real Madrid's bench.
It's a unique situation, as he's done little to build a 2025 draft case, yet there is plenty of tape and evidence of NBA potential for teams to put stock into. Over the years, he's built a strong reputation over his athletic scoring plays and defensive competitiveness. Last season and summer, he started to deliver more flashes of self-creation and shotmaking.
His draft stock will likely be all over the place, depending on teams' willingness to put more into the FIBA, junior-level and ANGT tape.

Round 1, Pick 23 — Orlando Magic
Gonzalez is at least starting to play a bit here and there for a loaded Real Madrid team. When he gets on the court for some extended run, he tends to play quite well. He had 14 points recently in a game against Rio Breogan and played pretty well in a EuroLeague game against Monaco. Teams would love to see him get out there more often after a long, impressive junior career in which he won the Next Generation Tournament MVP last year and averaged 21 points, seven rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks for Spain in the Under-18 European championships last summer.
Gonzalez needs to shoot it better from distance, but he's a highly intelligent player who consistently seems to be in the right spots on defense and plays with a real edge. His motor never stops running. He's also a good passer for a wing and has a good understanding of space and movement with his off-ball play. His range is a bit wide right now, but most NBA teams still see him as a clear first-rounder. But I can't emphasize enough that they'd like to see him play a bit more consistently between now and the draft.

Round 1, Pick 13 — Golden State Warriors
The Warriors certainly could use some wing depth to bolster their rotation, and Gonzalez will be one of the prospects every team in this range studies as a potential buy-low candidate. It's safe to say we haven't seen the best of the 18-year-old Spaniard, who has seen inconsistent playing time on one of the deepest and most ambitious teams (Real Madrid) in Europe.
Still, he has been effective when given minutes against high-level competition, making plays on both ends of the court thanks to his intensity, aggressiveness and explosiveness. He shows he can guard multiple positions, drops glimpses of passing and has plenty of winning qualities. -- Givony
