Denver Broncos Mock Draft Roundup 2.0
Throughout the year and leading up to the 2025 NFL Draft, we will update our Denver Broncos Mock Draft Roundup showing picks for the Denver Broncos from several prominent sites and draft analysts.
The following are picks in recent mock drafts for the Broncos:
20. Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan
It would spice up the AFC West a bit if Sean Payton were to snipe Jim Harbaugh's former tight end at Michigan. Denver needs weapons, and Loveland could be a special one for Bo Nix.
20. Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan
Sean Payton gets a quality tight end for Bo Nix. New Orleans' offenses often had a receiving threat at the tight end position and now the Broncos do as well with Colston Loveland.
20. Malaki Starks, S, Georgia
Giving Vance Joseph another high-IQ defender would help the Broncos' defense sustain its impressive level of play. Starks' instincts, awareness and toughness make him an ideal fit in a "see ball, get ball" scheme.
20. Shemar Stewart, EDGE, Texas A&M
The Broncos' defense is close to being the elite, all-round unit they wanted to be in 2024, but they just need some more help along the defensive line. Texas A&M defender Shemar Stewart has upside through the roof, but is still a little rough around the edges.
The Athletic — Baumgardner/Dochterman
20. Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State
The most polished route runner in the draft, Egbuka fits any and all offenses. He was a possession-type receiver in setting Ohio State's career receptions record (205), but he's skilled beyond that description — plus, he blocks. It's not farfetched to envision Egbuka becoming a valued player for more than a decade, perhaps like former NFL receiver Anquan Boldin.
20. Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State
Jeanty has a strong compact frame, elite contact balance, good vision and gets to top speed in a hurry. The former Bronco racked up an insane 1,970 yards after contact in 2024, per PFF. While he wasn't as involved as a receiver this past season, he finished with 43 catches for 569 yards and five touchdowns in 2023. The Broncos struggled to generate a consistent rushing attack, and Javonte Williams is slated for free agency this spring.
20. Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan
The Broncos are a team that experienced a major leap in 2024. Sean Payton's vision for this team is coming to life, but the arms race is no joke. The Raiders have added Pete Carroll to make this perhaps the most accomplished coaching division in all of football — so the players will need to do some heavy lifting as teams look to separate from one another. Denver's tight end room was nonexistent in the passing game; that can change with the addition of a pass-catching weapon at the position like Colston Loveland.
20. Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina
Emmanwori gave me some Derwin James vibes when I studied him. I love his instincts and production.
20. Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State
I've made it clear how I feel about taking a running back in the first round, but I'm not the one making the picks. And make no mistake, Jeanty is going to go in the first round. He's a top-10 prospect with incredible elusiveness. Jeanty piled up 2,601 rushing yards and 29 rushing scores this season.
The Broncos, meanwhile, couldn't establish the run to help out rookie quarterback Bo Nix. Their running backs were in the bottom 10 in rushing yards (1,423), rushing TDs (8) and yards per carry (4.1) in 2024. Lead back Javonte Williams' contract is expiring, and although Denver drafted Audric Estime in the fifth round last April, it could make a Day 1 splash at the position this year. And an added bonus: Jeanty is a great pass catcher out of the backfield, which would give Nix another outlet.
