Kansas City Chiefs NFL Mock Draft Roundup 1.0
Throughout the year and leading up to the 2026 NFL Draft, we will update our Kansas City Chiefs Mock Draft Roundup showing picks for the Kansas City Chiefs from several prominent sites and draft analysts.
The following are picks from recent NFL mock drafts for the Kansas City Chiefs:
28. Jalon Kilgore, DB, South Carolina
Kilgore had five interceptions in 2024 and has the versatility to play either safety or nickel. Not only did Justin Reid leave Kansas City for New Orleans in free agency, but the Chiefs have only one safety under contract beyond the 2025 season.
29. Cayden Green, IOL, Missouri
Missouri has done an excellent job producing offensive linemen; two were drafted this year alone. Green, a one-time Oklahoma transfer, has prototypical size and power for an offensive guard. The Chiefs identify their replacement for Joe Thuney a year after making the move.
32. Dillon Thieneman, S, Oregon
Bryan Cook and Mike Edwards are free agents after the 2025 season, which leaves Kansas City's long-term safety outlook unclear. Thieneman is rugged and plays with urgency. In run support, he fires up the alley with aggression and seeks out contact. He also makes the most of his opportunities around the ball, recording six interceptions and two forced fumbles in 2023 at Purdue. Now at Oregon, he's expected to be a firm final line of defense for the Ducks.
29. Eli Stowers, TE, Vanderbilt
Stowers is a former four-star quarterback recruit who made the transition to tight end in 2023 and took off like a rocket ship at his new position, earning an 89th percentile receiving grade with an astounding 2.43 yards per route average. With Travis Kelce turning 36 this season, Stowers offers a smooth transition as their legendary TE ages out of the league in a year or two.
31. Nick Singleton, RB, Penn State
If Singleton falls to the Chiefs, everybody in the league will be cursing how they let a good player land in the same backfield as Mahomes. He's adept at running between the tackles as he is getting out into the flat (eight receiving TDs), and should be plenty fresh for the NFL, given how he's split carries with Kaytron Allen in Happy Valley.
29. Keanu Tanuvasa, IDL, BYU
A transfer from Utah, Tanuvasa missed a good chunk of last season. His strength and physicality was evident when he was on the field, though. He should be one of the Big 12's best defensive prospects this season.
31. Suntarine Perkins, LB, Mississippi
A movable chess piece similar to 2025 first-round pick Jalon Walker, Perkins earned third-team All-SEC accolades as a true sophomore in 2024 despite starting just eight games, tying for the team lead with 14 tackles for loss and 10.5 sacks. Clearly, he lacks the frame to play at the line of scrimmage all the time in the NFL, but he'd be an intriguing fit for Steve Spagnuolo, one of the league's most creative and aggressive blitzers.

31. Nyck Harbor, WR, South Carolina
A leap of faith is required to make this projection, but let's have some fun. Despite recording just 26 catches for 376 yards last season, the 6-5, 235-pound target — who has twice taken the No. 1 spot on The Athletic's "Freaks List" — might stand alone as college football's best overall athlete. With 10.11-second speed in the 100-meter dash, Harbor could step in alongside fellow downfield dynamo Xavier Worthy to provide another major weapon to help the team prepare for the post-Travis Kelce era.
