San Francisco 49ers NFL Mock Draft Roundup 1.0
Throughout the year and leading up to the 2027 NFL Draft, we will update our San Francisco 49ers Mock Draft Roundup showing picks for the San Francisco 49ers from several prominent sites and draft analysts.
The following are picks from recent NFL mock drafts for the San Francisco 49ers:
27. Xavier Chaplin, OT, Florida State
An Auburn transfer who was forged by iron practicing against 2026 draft picks Keldric Faulk and Keyron Crawford each day in practice, Chaplin is a massive left tackle with impressive initial quickness.
For the Win — Christian D'Andrea
27. Trevor Goosby, OT, Texas
At 6-foot-7 and possessing smooth, natural movements, Goosby has all the skills to translate into clean pockets from the blindside.
26. Terrance Carter Jr., TE, Texas Tech
Carter Jr. is a long-striding playmaker who threatens all three levels of the field and runs like a power back after the catch. While he struggles with focus drops at times, his combination of vertical speed and high-effort blocking makes him a dynamic weapon as offenses continue to use more multiple TE sets.
27. Tae Johnson, S, Notre Dame
Johnson burst onto the scene as a redshirt freshman last season, finishing with four interceptions, and he is a candidate to make a big rise in 2026. He's an excellent blend of speed, football IQ and versatility, and his fluid movement ability allows him to be a mistake eraser on the back end. Along with his strong coverage skills, Johnson is an enthusiastic tackler who can make plays against the run. The 49ers didn't draft a safety last week, and Ji'Ayir Brown is set to be a free agent, so Johnson could work here.
27. Iapani Laloulu, IOL, Oregon
The fifth Oregon prospect in this mock, Laloulu enters next season as one of the top projected interior linemen in the draft class.
26. Lance Heard, OT, LSU
A former LSU signee, Heard has spent the past two seasons starting at left tackle for Tennessee and will suit up for Kentucky in 2026 -- his third SEC stop. At 6-foot-6 and 330 pounds, he uses his frame to dictate terms, though he may ultimately transition to the right side -- or even inside -- on Sundays.
26. Ty Benefield, S, LSU
The Boise State transfer already has a significant sample size, with 2,169 career snaps in college football. He must improve his tackling efficiency — an 18.1% career missed-tackle rate — but his versatility to align across the defense gives him significant upside as he transitions to SEC play.
