Leading up to the 2027 NFL Draft, we will track where Oregon Ducks tight end Jamari Johnson appears in the latest NFL mock drafts.
Jamari Johnson NFL Mock Drafts
Here are some of the latest mock drafts in which Jamari Johnson has appeared:
For the Win — Christian D'Andrea
No. 24 overall — New England Patriots
The Patriots restock Drake Maye's cupboard with a player who could turn Kenyon Sadiq's absence into a breakout 2026.
No. 13 overall — Minnesota Vikings
With T.J. Hockenson set to be a free agent in 2027, the Vikings could use a tight end. So why not go with the latest Oregon tight end prospect? At 6-foot-5 and 257 pounds, Johnson uses his frame to stretch the deep middle of the field. A smooth athlete for his size, he's capable of playing inline as well as being a flexed out in the passing game. Johnson's size makes it challenging for defenders to bring him down in the open field, and he's a willing blocker who can fit into 12 and 13 personnel sets. With Kenyon Sadiq off to the NFL, it's Johnson's time to shine.
No. 13 overall — Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Kenyon Sadiq was the Ducks' top tight end last season, but it was impossible not to notice Johnson and his impact catching the football. There's a high chance Oregon will produce a top-50 pick at tight end for the third straight year.
No. 22 overall — Denver Broncos
Johnson would be the second straight Oregon tight end selected in the first round after former teammate Kenyon Sadiq. A different profile than Sadiq, he brings a unique skill set at 6-foot-5 and nearly 260 pounds, showing the athleticism and fluidity to separate before and after the catch.
No. 14 overall — Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Buccaneers passed on an Oregon tight end this year, as the greater need and better value came with Miami's Rueben Bain Jr. They could return to the position next year and select Johnson, who outperformed Sadiq last season. Johnson is a more traditional in-line tight end but still brings top-end speed. He averaged 9.1 yards after the catch last season, compared to Sadiq's 4.9.
No. 25 overall — New England Patriots
Johnson overtook 2026 first round TE Kenyon Sadiq as the Ducks preferred seam-stretching explosive playmaker, while Sadiq spent the second half of the season being used as a short-yardage outlet and manufactured touch option. For perspective, just 1 of Sadiq's last 26 targets were caught 7 or more yards downfield, while Johnson caught multiple long touchdowns in the postseason as QB Dante Moore's primary weapon. He could be scary productive in a Drake Maye-led offense.
