LT Overton — 2026 NFL Mock Draft Roundup 1.0
Leading up to the 2026 NFL Draft, we will track where Alabama Crimson Tide edge LT Overton appears in the latest NFL mock drafts.
LT Overton NFL Mock Drafts
Here are some of the latest mock drafts in which LT Overton has appeared:
No. 25 overall — Cincinnati Bengals
Signing Trey Hendrickson to an extension remains on the team's offseason to-do list, and the Bengals drafted Shemar Stewart to pair with him in 2025. If contract negotiations remain at a stalemate, however, drafting a first-round edge defender in back-to-back seasons wouldn't be out of the question. Overton, a former teammate of Stewart before transferring to Alabama, offers positional versatility with a blend of size, power and athleticism to win in a variety of ways.
No. 15 overall — Arizona Cardinals
Overton has prototypical size for an NFL pass rusher and the athleticism is there as well. He was trending toward being a part of the 2025 draft, but opted to return to Tuscaloosa. Overton should have even more opportunities this coming season with Que Robinson, Jihaad Campbell and others moving on since the season ended.
No. 16 overall — Pittsburgh Steelers
Sure, the Steelers drafted Derrick Harmon this year, but you can never have too many defensive tackles. Cameron Heyward will be 37 entering the 2026 season; the defensive line could see some turnover. Overton fits what the Steelers have looked for in the past, as the 6-5 283-pounder can play off the edge or reduce inside. His 13.4% pressure rate at defensive tackle last season was second best in the FBS. He probably would have been a top-60 pick had he declared for the 2025 draft, but Overton has the opportunity to boost his stock even more -- especially if he can improve his sack total (two last season).
No. 12 overall — New England Patriots
The Patriots had one of the least effective pass rushes in the NFL last season. With most of the team's early 2025 draft resources being allocated to the offense, New England selects Overton (6-5, 283 pounds) to be a physical edge-setter they sorely need.
No. 19 overall — Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Although his impact appeared to tail off last season, Overton put dominant stretches together on his 2024 tape (see South Carolina). He has impressive movement skills for 285 pounds and should lead the Tide in pressures this season.

No. 17 overall — Chicago Bears
With a heavy focus on reworking their offense in recent years, the Bears haven't taken a defensive player in the first round since selecting Roquan Smith in 2018. That drought could come to an end with Overton, who offers inside-outside versatility at 6-5 and 280 pounds as both a stout run defender and emerging pass rusher.
