Malik Nabers — NFL Mock Draft Roundup 2.0

Leading up to the 2024 NFL Draft, we will track where LSU Tigers wide receiver Malik Nabers appears in the latest NFL mock drafts.

Malik Nabers NFL Mock Drafts

Here are some of the latest mock drafts in which Nabers has appeared:

CBS Sports - Kyle Stackpole

#4 overall, Arizona Cardinals

Not only do the Cardinals stick at No. 4, but they take Malik Nabers instead of Marvin Harrison Jr. Nabers absolutely rocked his pro day and has better short-area explosiveness than his Ohio State counterpart. Lots of people still have Harrison ahead of him, but it's not a consensus like it was after the college football season.

NFL.com - Eric Edholm

#6 overall, New York Giants

I think a quarterback trade-up is possible; the Giants haven't exactly hidden their interest in the position, and now the owner has signed off on the idea. But they can also round out the receiver room with what it really needs: a big-play threat to bring it all together. Nabers is the best YAC weapon in the class and could pair well with Wan'Dale Robinson, Jalin Hyatt, Darren Waller (possibly) and the rest of Big Blue's pass-catching group.

The Ringer - Danny Kelly

#5 overall (TRADE), New York Jets

TRADE: The Jets send the no. 10 pick and a 2025 first-rounder to the Chargers for the no. 5 pick.

The sensible thing for the Jets to do would probably be to keep the 10th pick and take the best offensive lineman left. The sexy move is to make this trade. In a move similar to the one the Dolphins made in 2021 to move up six spots for Jaylen Waddle, New York gives up their 2025 first-rounder to climb up to no. 5 and select Nabers. The former LSU star is explosiveness personified, giving the Jets a bona fide playmaker opposite Garrett Wilson. This team is all in this year, with Aaron Rodgers playing what may be his final season.

NFL.com - Charles Davis

#5 overall, Los Angeles Chargers

With Keenan Allen off to the Bears and Mike Williams signing with the Jets, the uber-competitive (and greatly needed) Nabers lands with the Chargers. Justin Herbert will greet him with open arms.

CBS Sports - Pete Prisco

#6 overall, New York Giants

The Giants lack a true playmaker outside, which is what Malik Nabers can be. I think he's the best receiver in this draft.

ESPN - Matt Miller

#6 overall, New York Giants

The Giants' offense ranked No. 29 in offensive points last season (14 per game), as quarterback Daniel Jones tore the ACL in his right knee and the offensive line surrendered 85 sacks (most in the league). They have already improved the roster by signing offensive linemen Jon Runyan and Jermaine Eluemunor, but the wide receiver room is a little thin. Nabers has electric yards-after-catch speed and a diverse skill set that would work well in conjunction with Jalin Hyatt and Wan'Dale Robinson to give the Giants one of the fastest receiver corps in the league. His 120.7 yards per game led the nation, and his 3.7 yards per route run were second best among all FBS pass-catchers.

ESPN - Mike Tannenbaum

#6 overall, New York Giants

Four QBs are already off the board, so the Giants need to think about getting the offense some playmakers for Daniel Jones. New York averaged 14 offensive points per game last season (29th in the NFL), and Darius Slayton was its leading receiver with 770 yards. You might be screaming for Ohio State's Marvin Harrison Jr. here, but this WR1 race is really close, and I'm actually giving Nabers the edge because of his speed. Nabers averaged 15.9 yards per reception for his career and scored 14 TDs last season. He's the most dynamic prospect in the class, as a route runner and as an after-the-catch playmaker. The Giants' offense desperately needs that sort of impact player.

The Athletic - Ben Standig

#6 overall, New York Giants

Drafting Daniel Jones' replacement would be tempting, if possible. Selecting a game-breaking receiver, the kind rarely seen in East Rutherford, isn't only doable but necessary no matter who plays quarterback. Nabers averaged 17.6 yards on 89 receptions in his final season with the Tigers.
