Chop Robinson — NFL Mock Draft Roundup 1.0
Leading up to the 2024 NFL Draft, we will track where Penn State Nittany Lions edge Chop Robinson appears in the latest NFL mock drafts.
Chop Robinson NFL Mock Drafts
Here are some of the latest mock drafts in which Robinson has appeared:
#23 overall, Houston Texans
Robinson joins last year's No. 3 overall pick, Will Anderson Jr. -- and potentially Jonathan Greenard, if the Texans are able to retain the pending free agent. Robinson is a little more dynamic than Anderson, but not nearly as polished.
#26 overall, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Bucs played well enough down the stretch to win their division and the opportunity to host a playoff game. They took full advantage of that and really handed it to the Eagles who were favored by 3 points. Baker Mayfield played an excellent game passing for 337 yards with 3 TDs and no picks. Mayfield has had an excellent season passing for 4,044 yards with 28 TDs and 10 INTs. His passer rating was 94.6 which was good for 12th overall. His play has earned him an extension and Bucs would be foolish to not get it done.
The team's leader in sacks was YaYa Diaby with 7.5. Their highest paid edge rusher, Shaq Barrett finished with 4.5 sacks. The Bucs need to get more production from this group. Demeioun "Chop" Robinson might have the best combination of get-off and bend in this draft class. He's lightning-quick off the ball and very flexible in his lower body. He would bring another weapon for the Bucs to utilize on defense.

#21 overall, Miami Dolphins
Moving on from Emmanuel Ogbah would save the team more than $13 million towards the salary cap, and Andrew Van Ginkel is set to become a free agent, Miami needs insurance with Jaelan Phillips and Bradley Chubb returning from injury.
#19 overall, Los Angeles Rams
The Rams land a top edge rusher in Chop Robinson, who's explosive and quick off the ball, to fill the void left by Von Miller.
#35 overall, Arizona Cardinals
Robinson is a polarizing prospect — like Nix, some see him as a third-rounder, others think he'll go much higher. But it is hard to see his explosive get-off falling out of the top 40, especially considering this mediocre group of pass-rush prospects.
#16 overall, Seattle Seahawks
There isn't a single edge rusher in the class that can match Chop Robinson's explosiveness at the snap. Like he's shot out of a cannon, Robinson can consistently threaten the outside shoulder, then stick his foot in the ground and work back to the inside to counter an overset. The trio of he, Boye Mafe, and Derick Hall (with more snaps) presents a heck of a youth-infused trio in Seattle.
#24 overall, Miami Dolphins
If the playoff-bound Miami Dolphins' current rotation of edge defenders doesn't make you think twice about their top team need right now, nothing will. With fans clamoring for the return of retired veterans, it's all too easy of a conclusion to draw that the Dolphins will look to add a veteran free agent as well.
Even so, grabbing someone like Chop Robinson makes a ton of sense. Not only does Robinson have an incredible name, but he more than lives up to it with his game. He'll club defenders and swiftly move linemen aside to get after the quarterback and plays incredibly well in space.

#25 overall, Buffalo Bills
AJ Epenesa, Shaq Lawson and Leonard Floyd are all facing free agency after this season, so an influx of talent on the defensive line might be a necessity for the Bills come April. Robinson's still developing his technique, but his first-step explosiveness and speed-to-power variation is a rare commodity.
#20 overall, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers hit on YaYa Diaby during the 2023 draft, but they could still add more defensive line talent. Chop Robinson is one of the best pass rushers in this class and would be a fantastic long-term pairing with Diaby and Joe Tryon-Shoyinka.
#22 overall, Los Angeles Rams
With Wiggins and Arnold going off the board right in front of them, the Rams look to add pass rush help here instead. Robinson will challenge to be the most athletic edge rusher in this class and his flashes are truly brilliant. He's explosive off the ball and uses his speed when turning the corner into the pocket. While he just turned 21 years old, he needs to become a much more consistent threat.
#13 overall, Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders love speed. What better than the edge rusher with the fastest first step in college football? Robinson has at least one play each game where you assume he'd lined up offside or mistimed the count. Nope, he's just quick as hell.
That's a big deal for a Las Vegas pass rush that could use extra support even after Malcolm Koonce's breakout eight-sack 2023 (six of which came over the final four games of the season). Robinson isn't as versatile as some of the other EDGE defenders in his class, but he's the master of a trade that will translate on Sundays.

#31 overall, Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens like to continue building up strengths, and that's what they do here with Robinson. Baltimore has gotten a lot of pass-rush productivity out of Jadeveon Clowney (9.5 sacks) and Kyle Van Noy (9.0), but Robinson would make this defense even better. He is one of the most explosive players in this class. Yes, he had only four sacks in 10 games this season, but his 18.0% pressure rate ranked sixth among players with at least 150 pass-rush snaps. For Robinson to reach his full potential, he will need a situation where he isn't relied on as an immediate full-time starter, and this seems like a perfect match.
#27 overall, Houston Texans
The offensive line is a major need given all the injuries this past season, but does DeMeco Ryans think he can rebuild his magical defensive front from San Francisco?
