Tampa Bay Rays 2021 MLB Mock Draft Roundup

We've been tracking MLB mock drafts from various baseball analysts, writers and bloggers via our 2021 MLB Mock Draft Database.

The Tampa Bay Rays have the 28th pick in the 2021 MLB Draft and our Tampa Bay Rays 2021 MLB Mock Draft Roundup compiles picks for the Rays in recently-updated mock drafts.

The picks listed below are sorted by when the mock draft was updated (date in parenthesis) with the most recent mocks listed first.

> MLB Tickets: Tampa Bay Rays Tickets

MLB.com - Mayo (6/2)
Tommy Mace, RHP, Florida

Mace is one of those college arms with a high floor who knows how to pitch, with some thinking there is still some upside to unlock once he gets out of a college program.

The Athletic - Law (5/27)
Wes Kath, SS/3B, Desert Mountain (AZ) HS

Kath has hit well this spring and shown the potential for plus power, getting a regular stream of scouts who live there or are in town to scout extended spring training games.

MLB.com - Callis (5/26)
Will Bednar, RHP, Mississippi State

The younger brother of Pirates reliever David Bednar, he has boosted his stock by displaying a plus fastball and slider and improved control all spring.

ESPN - McDaniel (5/11)
Michael McGreevy, RHP, UC Santa Barbara

McGreevy has been a steady riser since opening the spring as a second-round pick and could fit in a number of spots from 25 to 35. He draws Shane Bieber comps since they both went to UCSB with some similarities in their amateur profile. It's just very unlikely McGreevy takes off in pro ball like Bieber did. The Rays pick again at 34, and I'd expect a prep pitcher or middle infielder (two common demographics for them) to be one of their early picks.
