Texas Rangers 2021 MLB Mock Draft Roundup

We've been tracking MLB mock drafts from various baseball analysts, writers and bloggers via our 2021 MLB Mock Draft Database.

The Texas Rangers have the 2nd pick in the 2021 MLB Draft and our Texas Rangers 2021 MLB Mock Draft Roundup compiles picks for the Rangers in recently-updated mock drafts.

The picks listed below are sorted by when the mock draft was updated (date in parenthesis) with the most recent mocks listed first.

> MLB Tickets: Texas Rangers Tickets

MLB.com - Mayo (6/2)
Henry Davis, C, Louisville

The Rangers have gone college bats the last two Drafts in the first round, with Justin Foscue and Josh Jung, and Davis fits the mold.

The Athletic - Law (5/27)
Jordan Lawlar, SS, Jesuit College Prep (TX)

I hear two conflicting rumors on Texas. One is that they want someone who can get to the majors fast -- Davis or one of the two Vandy arms. The other is that they can't pass on Lawlar, a local kid with some exceptional tools, and whom team president Jon Daniels is said to have seen in person multiple times.

MLB.com - Callis (5/26)
Jack Leiter, RHP, Vanderbilt

After giving up eight homers in a three-start stretch and then taking a week off, Leiter has returned to his dominant ways. If the Rangers go high school shortstop here, don't be shocked if it's Watson over local product Lawlar.

ESPN - McDaniel (5/11)
Jack Leiter, RHP, Vanderbilt

Leiter has proved mortal in his past few outings and was a late scratch against Alabama last weekend, but indications are that it's nothing serious. The Rangers need dynamic talent in their system, and this may be the easiest pick in the draft because Texas will decide based on whichever -- Lawler or Leiter -- Pittsburgh passes on.
