2020 NFL Power Rankings: Jacksonville Jaguars

Throughout the 2020 NFL season, we will compile a consensus NFL Power Rankings that averages the rankings of all 32 NFL teams.

Here is where the Jacksonville Jaguars rank in terms of average, best and worst:

Below you will find a post-NFL Draft roundup for the Jaguars in our consensus 2020 NFL Power Rankings.

The Athletic -- Rank: 32

The Jaguars ended last season just outside our bottom five but have spent both offseason rankings at the bottom. Even what appears to be a solid (and very large, with 12 players!) draft class doesn't change our outlook that this is going to be a very long, very difficult season in Jacksonville.

CBS Sports -- Rank: 31

They added some nice free-agent pieces and they had a good draft, but is that enough? That's doubtful. Is Gardner Minshew the answer?

USA Today -- Rank: 32

Yannick Ngakoue? Still here. Leonard Fournette? Still here. Several raw (and impressionable) rookies headed here. Questionable recipe.

ESPN -- Rank: 32

Player who benefited: DE Josh Allen. With the team trading Calais Campbell and the uncertainty about Yannick Ngakoue's status, Allen was all alone in the pass rush, a daunting task for a second-year player. But the Jaguars drafted K'Lavon Chaisson with the No. 20 pick, so teams can't just game plan around stopping Allen. Chaisson is still raw, but he has the ability to create problems for opposing offenses. Plus, the addition of Chaisson means the Jaguars are going to use more 3-4 concepts, which also will help Allen, who more than held his own dropping into coverage in college. -- Mike DiRocco

NFL.com -- Rank: 32

The Jaguars are starting over, and the draft focused on defense at the top. Cornerback CJ Henderson (No. 9 overall) is an important add to a secondary that lost both Jalen Ramsey and A.J. Bouye over the course of six months. K'Lavon Chaisson, selected 20th overall, was one of the best pass rushers in this class and could fill the void if/when the team finds a trade suitor for Yannick Ngakoue. The Jags did not select a quarterback with any of their nine picks in the first five rounds, more evidence that Gardner Minshew will get a full-season audition to be The Man. 2020 will be an audition for a lot of people in Jacksonville.
