2020 NFL Power Rankings: Jacksonville Jaguars

Throughout the 2020 NFL season, we will compile a consensus NFL Power Rankings that averages the rankings of all 32 NFL teams.

Here is where the Jacksonville Jaguars rank in terms of average, best and worst:

Below you will find a Week 7 roundup for the Jaguars in our consensus 2020 NFL Power Rankings.

The Athletic -- Rank: 29

Since their surprise Week 1 win against the Colts, the Jaguars have lost five in a row, and their minus-56 point differential is second-worst, ahead of only the Jets. Jacksonville has the worst defense in the league in terms of EPA per snap.

CBS Sports -- Rank: 30

They are clearly in the Tanking for Trevor sweepstakes. It's clear they won't win a lot of games this year.

USA Today -- Rank: 29

Four most recent losses have come by an average of 15 points ... but now that might not even be good enough to get Trevor Lawrence into town.

ESPN -- Rank: 30

Most impactful injury: DE Josh Allen

Allen has missed the past two games because of a knee injury, which robs the Jaguars of their best and most experienced pass-rusher. He wasn't dominating when he was on the field (two sacks, seven QB hits), but he is the Jaguars' only hope of getting to the passer. The rest of the defense has three sacks and 21 QB hits combined. The Jaguars need him back ASAP. -- Mike DiRocco

NFL.com -- Rank: 31

Minshewmania is a mirage. Gardner Minshew has a winning personality and stellar facial hair, but his abilities on the field put a cap on what the Jaguars are able to do. That's how it's looked during Jacksonville's five-game losing streak, which continued with a 34-16 setback against the Lions on Sunday. Minshew's numbers are respectable, but much of his production has come in garbage time. Five of his eight TD passes during the losing streak have occurred with the Jags trailing by at least 10 points. Minshew is far from the only one to blame for Jacksonville's struggles -- the defense has struggled mightily -- but the quarterback position can't be ignored if the Jags find themselves at or near the top of the draft board next spring.
