Below you will find a Week 5 roundup for the Steelers in our consensus 2020 NFL Power Rankings.
The Athletic -- Rank: 6
I am higher on the Steelers than EPR is. I see a defense that can dominate most weeks and an offense that will eventually find an identity. But the numbers reflect a somewhat uneven performance by Pittsburgh so far, despite its 3-0 record. The Steelers didn't play last week and will host the Eagles in Week 5.
CBS Sports -- Rank: 3
They got a week off because of the postponement due to COVID-19, so they essentially had an early bye that included practice. Will that help or hurt?
USA Today -- Rank: 5
It's (very) early, but they're on pace to record 80 sacks over a full season ... which would surpass the 1984 Bears' record of 72.
ESPN -- Rank: 7
FPI chance to make playoffs: 75.6%
With a heavy gantlet coming up, this seems just right for the 3-0 Steelers. Between a 13-game stretch to end the season and all of their divisional games remaining, the Steelers have a tough road to reaching the playoffs for the first time since 2017. Through three games, however, they've shown they have the right combination of a championship-level defense and a balanced offense to navigate that difficult schedule. -- Brooke Pryor

NFL.com -- Rank: 5
There's nothing the Steelers can do but roll and adapt after their Week 4 showdown with the Titans was rescheduled for Week 7 following an outbreak of positive coronavirus tests within the Titans organization. The rearranged schedule means the Steelers will now play 13 consecutive games to close the regular season. It gives Mike Tomlin's team even more incentive to land the No. 1 seed and the all-important playoff bye that comes with it.
