Below you will find a post-NFL Draft roundup for the Bucs in our consensus 2020 NFL Power Rankings.
The Athletic -- Rank: 13
The draft and addition of tight end Rob Gronkowski since our last rankings didn't move the needle much as the Bucs stand pat at No. 13. Honestly, this feels about right until we see anything happen on the field. Once the NFL says OK, the Bucs will be the team most of us want to watch most closely.
CBS Sports -- Rank: 8
The offense has added Rob Gronkowski and Tristan Wirfs to go with Tom Brady. But this season will be decided by how well the secondary plays.
USA Today -- Rank: 7
Tom Brady may not know his new neighborhood or local social distancing rules. But he knows Gronk and knows Tampa Bay is already pulling out the stops to bolster supporting cast charged with delivering in a two-year championship window.
ESPN -- Rank: 7
Player who benefited: QB Tom Brady. The Bucs got the 42-year-old quarterback one of the top tackles in the draft, Tristan Wirfs; he can start at right tackle from Day 1. They also added Ke'Shawn Vaughn, a complete back and strong pass-blocker; dynamic receiver Tyler Johnson, who was a steal in the fifth round; and speedy running back Raymond Calais. And they did all this without neglecting their defense. Plus, they used their fourth-round pick to trade for Rob Gronkowski on the eve of the draft, so that counts, right? -- Jenna Laine
NFL.com -- Rank: 12
The Bucs made their biggest wave right before the draft with the bombshell trade that brought Rob Gronkowski out of retirement to play with buddy Tom Brady. It remains to be seen how much football is left in ol' Gronk, whose body took a vicious beating in nine seasons with the Patriots. With that in mind, it perhaps makes sense to keep both O.J. Howard and Cameron Brate, creating tight end depth that will allow Bruce Arians to choose the best spots to deploy Gronkowski. Brady got more good news on Thursday night, when Tampa Bay traded up to land offensive tackle Tristan Wirfs with the 13th overall pick. The Bucs are clearly a team in win-now mode -- they'll be fascinating to watch when football returns. (Please return, football.)
