Arizona Cardinals Mock Draft Roundup 7.0

Throughout the year and leading up to the 2021 NFL draft, we will update our Arizona Cardinals Mock Draft Roundup showing picks for the Arizona Cardinals from several prominent sites and draft analysts.

The following are picks from recent NFL mock drafts for the Cardinals:

EDSFootball - Donahue (3/23)

16. Jaycee Horn, CB, South Carolina

If the draft plays out this way, the Cardinals will feel fortunate that one of the top three cornerbacks actually fell to them, especially after Patrick Peterson officially left for Minnesota. At 6-foot-1 and 205 pounds, Horn, too, fits the mold of the prototypical NFL CB and plays a physical brand of football the Cardinals' defense could use on the outside.

NFL.com - Brooks (3/23)

16. Jaycee Horn, CB, South Carolina

With Patrick Peterson now in Minnesota, the blitz-happy Cardinals need an athletic corner with man-to-man cover skills.

The Athletic - Beat Writers (3/23)

16. Jaycee Horn, CB, South Carolina

The Cardinals have been busy addressing several needs. They agreed to deals with defensive end J.J. Watt, wide receiver A.J. Green and kicker Matt Prater, and they acquired center Rodney Hudson through trade. All are former Pro Bowl selections. No doubt, this a great start, but Arizona still needs immediate help at corner, especially given the loss of super-vet Patrick Peterson. Horn fits. At 6-foot-1, 205 pounds, he has great length and athletic ability. He also is physical at the line of scrimmage and has solid ball skills. -- Doug Haller

ESPN - Kiper (3/22)

16. Jaycee Horn, CB, South Carolina

With potential future Hall of Famer Patrick Peterson gone to Minnesota in free agency, cornerback is a clear need for the Cardinals. Horn had just two interceptions in three college seasons, but he locked down wideouts, and he would be a Day 1 starter for this team. I also thought about pass-rusher -- Arizona added J.J. Watt to play with Chandler Jones, but they're both over 30 and have had injury issues -- and wide receiver. A.J. Green is not a long-term solution.

CBS Sports - Wilson (3/22)

16. Jaycee Horn, CB, South Carolina

Patrick Peterson is gone and Dre Kirkpatrick and Johnathan Joseph remain free agents, and Horn is a physical, athletic playmaking cornerback who would add depth at the position.

PFF - Renner (3/22)

16. Jaylen Waddle, WR, Alabama

Just like last year, when both Jerry Jeudy (Pick 15) and CeeDee Lamb (Pick 17) unbelievably fell out of the top 10, Smith and Waddle fall to 13 and 16, respectively. Waddle brings the explosive threat they always wanted Andy Isabella to be in the offense.
