The following are picks in recent mock drafts for the Jets:

Pro Football Network - DiCecco (6/7)
8) New York Jets: Patrick Surtain II, CB Alabama

Adding Bryce Hall in the fifth-round was the first step to correcting a perpetually problematic cornerback situation for the Jets, but there is still much work to be done. Surtain (6'2", 203) offers shutdown ability Gang Green hasn't seen since Darrelle Revis -- and he has yet to scratch the surface of his talent level.

Fox Sports - McIntyre (6/7)
16. New York Jets -- Josh Jobe, CB, Alabama

The Jets made a slew of moves to try and fix the offensive line, and next offseason the focus should be at cornerback. Jobe has the size - 6-foot-1, 180 pounds - and he's playing opposite an All-American, giving the Tide the best pair of CBs in college football.

8. New York Jets: Patrick Surtain II, CB, Alabama

Unless Bryce Hall becomes a terrific cornerback for the Jets, general manager Joe Douglas will be interested in using a first-round pick on a cornerback upgrade.

Son of former Dolphins star cornerback Patrick Surtain Sr., Surtain II was tested early by teams, yet was able to punish teams for doing so. The 6-foot-2 cornerback projects as a top-10 pick in the future.

CBS Sports - Edwards (5/12)
6. New York Jets: Shaun Wade, CB, Ohio State

New York moved on from Trumaine Johnson this offseason. It has tried to apply a bandage, but it will not last long. Wade gives them some ability on the next level for the future.

CBS Sports - Trapasso (5/4)
7. New York Jets: Quincy Roche, DE, Miami (FL)

Roche transferred to Miami, and although he's smaller than Rousseau, he's incredibly dynamic around the edge.

PFF - Renner (4/30)
6. New York Jets -- WR Ja'Marr Chase, LSU

Speaking of grown men, Chase looked more like a redshirt senior than a true sophomore last year with the way he physically overpowered cornerbacks in the SEC. His 24 deep catches were eight more than the next closest receiver in the country.

6. N.Y. Jets (70/1) -- Walker Little, OT, Stanford

A season-ending knee injury kept him from leaving school and likely being a first-round pick in this year's draft.

SI - Hanson (4/27)
6. New York Jets: Patrick Surtain II, CB, Alabama

The Jets got a nice value in Bryce Hall in the fifth round, but cornerback will remain one of the team's bigger needs in the 2021 draft. Five of the team's corners are slated for unrestricted free agency in 2021. The son of a three-time Pro Bowl corner, Surtain II has excellent length, coverage and ball skills, and could be the first corner off the board in 2021.

6. New York Jets -- EDGE Gregory Rousseau, Miami

An impressive 2020 draft class saw the New York Jets check off needs at left tackle, wide receiver and cornerback. Going into 2021's offseason, there could still be a big need for a premier pass-rusher unless they add one in free agency.

Miami's Gregory Rousseau is the type of impact rusher the Jets can hope lasts until they are next on the clock. The 6'7", 253-pound Rousseau has speed, length and has shown impressive production with 15.5 sacks and two forced fumbles in only 14 games played.

7. New York Jets: Gregory Rousseau, Edge, Miami

Usually it's tough to project redshirt sophomores a year out, but Rousseau is coming off a season of 19.5 tackles for loss and 15.5 sacks.

The Athletic - Brugler (4/27)
6. New York Jets -- *Shaun Wade, CB, Ohio State

Ohio State might have had three cornerbacks drafted in the first round of the 2020 draft, but Wade elected to return to school for the 2020 season. He has the athletic twitch and size to do everything from press to off-coverage, lining up inside and outside.
